I was really excited to discover a gluten-free donut shop while I was in Columbus! I ordered several varieties to sample, and I’ve got to say... keeping it simple is the way to go! The texture was excellent, with a nice crunch on the outside and a soft center. The toppings were decent, which is why I think simpler options are better. For example, the bacon maple donut would have been much better if the bacon had been cooked longer for that perfect crunch. The flavors were delightful, and I definitely plan to return next time for a more straightforward donut selection. As for prices, it was a bit high compared to what we received. I’m originally from Akron, OH, but I traveled to Columbus for a Crew game and had a craving for donuts. Knowing that Columbus offers many more gluten-free options than Akron, I discovered Donna's Delicious Dozen and decided to check them out—and I'm so glad I did! The owner was incredibly nice and welcoming, and the staff was fantastic. They have a little yellow mark next to the donut options to indicate which ones can be made gluten-free, or you can create your own custom order. Just a heads-up: if you're ordering gluten-free, you need to get at least half a dozen, which costs $15. Overall, I can't wait to return when I'm in the area again!
OMG Donna's is the BESSSTTTTT. I've only ever had their food truck. My friend Cosmo first turned me on to them at an event at the Polaris mall, and I've seen them in my neighborhood since, which is so exciting! Donna is so sweet, and the donuts are always so fresh and yummy. The customer service is superb. I can't wait until they come back to Westgate!
The donuts were good, but not exceptional. They definitely don't hold up well during transport; I live 25 minutes away and the box was soaked in grease by the time I got home. We preordered our doughnuts for pickup, having learned from experience that they prepare them fresh when you order. This means that ordering on-site might take longer. The doughnuts we received were absolutely flawless! The staff was excellent, and the interior was clean, though it felt a bit sparse in terms of seating.
A friend told me about this donut shop offering GF donuts, but I hadn't been able to try them until today. I could kick myself for waiting so long. They are not only delicious, but beautifully made by the order. I will definitely be indulging in these donuts again.
Didn't get to take any pics of the donuts BUT that's because we just went ahead and ate them immediately and couldn't stop! Appreciate the gluten free options! And happy to support a black owned business. We will be regular customers any time we visit Columbus
I went to get a dozen of donuts from Donna's yesterday and they were delicious. The staff was nice and welcoming. It was empty when I walked in, but became a little busy as I was waiting. I definitely recommend these donuts. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
I've only tried the gluten-free donuts, but they are absolutely delicious. Honestly, they are the best gluten-free donuts I've ever tasted. The service has consistently been excellent too.
