I have been to Dottie's many times over the past 15 to 20 years. While the food is decent, the donuts have always been fabulous. However, the owner's aggressive political views are immediately imposed upon you when you enter, which is simply too much for me. Because of this, along with the owner's rude behavior towards locals seeking support for community baseball teams, I will no longer choose to dine at Dottie's. Instead, I recommend heading across the street to Papa's Deli, where you can find the best hash browns, eggs, and cheese at a fraction of the price, without the added political drama.
I've never been here and probably never will be, but why would people give a place 1 star because their views don't align with their own? Based on the food and service reviews, it sounds like a great diner! But to put a 1-star because they support Israel, it is un-American to try to put a business down because of their beliefs. There is a First Amendment, and as a Democrat myself, I'm shocked by how undemocratic people have become these days. Take your tik tok brains elsewhere and stop leaving 1 star reviews.
We have taken the kids to eat after their Saturday morning activities. The tables are small and fairly uncomfortable. The kids wanted French toast and they apparently shut off the griddle at 11am, so you're out of luck if you are not there early. The staff that we had never asked how things were. I ordered oatmeal with brown sugar and it tasted like someone accidentally dumped a whole shaker of cinnamon in it. It was almost inedible. Bummer.
The food was good. Loved the Homemade hash. You can always tell when it's done right. I got the western omelette. Which was more like cooked egg on top of toppings but it was tasty. Service was very good. Very tentative and nice. I wasn't too thrilled about all the political hostesses stand. It kinda left a bad taste in my mouth. Overall a good experience. If I'm in the area again I'd consider going in for a bite to eat.

My friends and I were at soulberry and decided to stop at dottie’s for lunch. When we walked in we were greeted by some political stuff that made me upset, but nothing would prepare me for one sign they just added. A sign on the podium saying we support Israel. I cant even put into words how disgusted i was. We immediately left and will never come back again.
It was my first time going to this restaurant, and it will be my last. My eyes were assaulted by a HUGE Trump campaign sign on the podium, with other equally inappropriate messages. I go to restaurants to EAT, not to have my wellbeing disturbed by inappropriate “political” material.
Love this place! We come every Sunday morning for breakfast and enjoy sitting at the bar chatting with regulars and Becca our waitress who always greets us cheerily and is super attentive. Delicious food, cool retro decor, and awesome staff!
I don’t agree with giving my patronage to establishments that post their pro-Israel political agendas in their environment. Several other signs on their hostess stand were also very alarming.
