The food is quite good, and as a vegan, I appreciate their variety of tofu options. However, the restaurant itself is quite old and in urgent need of renovations; it gives off a somewhat dirty appearance, but that’s mainly due to its age. On a positive note, the staff is incredibly friendly, and they always prepare the food fresh. I've been a regular here for years.
Tables and menus were sticky and it was very humid in there. Food was not to the standards it once was. Hot and sour soup was not good at all and the main course was the same. Service was not great and getting the bill was slow. We had a group of 6. All had the same opinion of the place.
I ordered the dish with shrimp, chicken, and almonds, but everything was not fresh. I even found two cockroaches on the table. It was a very unpleasant experience.

The food and service exceeded my expectations. I truly enjoyed the atmosphere of this place. It's a fantastic restaurant for a family lunch.
Downtown Cafe has friendly waiters. The food is good and service is quick. Great place to go to lunch on a work day.
