Had lunch here and ordered the Seafood platter for 2, Corona and a Rose' wine. The Seafood here tasted fresh and the batter used was light and crisp. The oysters and scallops were excellent and not fishy at all. The octopus was on the chewy side and the calamari was bland on its own so you'll need to have it with tartare sauce. The fish cocktails were delicious but it only came with 3 which was a little bit disappointing. The only thing you'll need to be aware of is that they do have card surcharges (1.1% and the lines are long so you will have to wait for your food and drinks. Furthermore finding a table is extremely difficult during peak times too. Also the floors and tables are a bit dirt...
Came from Melbourne for a friends wedding, had to try this place as we watched a video on youtube Worth It saying its a great oyster place, tried their Turess Lake oysters and it was delicious, shucked upon ordering, the flavour of the oyster taste like fresh sea water and extremely fresh flesh, something you have to try to understand the flavour. Not sure why their ratings are very low at the moment, maybe zomato needs to open a separate file called Doyles Oyster Bar, worth a try if you're in Seafood Market in Sydney.
It was my very first time at the Sydney Fish Market and it was a pleasant experience. Though a little busy, I especially liked they had cleaners frequenting the a4ea incase if there's a vacant but dirty table, they'd wipe it down immediately without being asked.<br/ <br/ We had the platter, eel, scallops, abalone and fresh salmon (which was not as cold as preferred) but majority of the seafood is quite tasty and fresh! I really enjoyed it here, does get a little expensive as there's so many good eats!<br/ <br/
Seafood is always fresh and delicious. Excellent seating area that is always clean and lots of open air flowing through so it doesn't smell damp and smelly like the other internal places. Absolutely love the oyster bar, it changed me from being someone that dislikes oysters to love them as they are so fresh! These people really know what they are doing I recommend the fresh cold seafood over the cooked ones even though their grill is tasty it's a bit over priced. Well worth the visit though! This place probably has the best fish and chips in the whole fish market. Generous portions of crispy beer battered fish and the chips are super crunchy. The fish and chips from two other places that I’ve tried at the market are soggy and stale. This place also provides tartare sauce for you so don’t have to worry about paying for sauce!
Oysters were large, plump and unbelievably fresh. However I wouldn't say they are any better than oysters from another stall. The grilled octopus was a slight disappointment. The meat wasn't very tender. In fact it was rather tough and chewy. They were well-seasoned though.
So much seafood! Lunch in Sydney.., oysters, scallops...Amazing fresh seafood and beautiful setting.Drinks to enjoy and a glorious setting.
