I ate here about 18 months ago with a relative and we both thought the food was poor.Well nothing has changed. Not sure if i've been unlucky - this place seems to do well as its the only thai restaurant in the area but i really had a shocker.Chicken satay - chicken was dry and the satay sauce was positively aweful. Then moved on to the prawn cakes - they could possibly rename the dish to " dried up dogs balls" well at least that's what it looked like. Main course - supposed fish fillets battered in disgusting batter and drowning in chilli to disguise what i am sure would be some specimen of shark.The staff who take your order have very poor english as well.If you understand food inparticular...
Doytao is in the Boronia Park shops of Hunter's Hill. It is a small restaurant with maybe 6 tables and takeaway. The decor is neat modern styleIt is genuinely staffed by Thais. I had a Seafood Paeneng Curry that was made swiftly with fresh and spicy ingredients. The menu is broad with a typical range of curries, stir fry and a good range of seafood specialities. Entrees are around 8 dollars, mains 15-20. The emphass is on fresh well presented ingredients and the staff were very friendly.
Its open 7 days a week which is great since most of Boronia Park is closed on a Monday.Service is pleasant and prompt and I enjoy the fact that there are vegetables with their meat dishes. Crying Tiger is thin sliced steak with a spicy sauce, and plenty of vegs. Same with their duck dishes. AND they dont charge corkage, whereas many places charge anything up to a whopping $8 to drink a glass of your own wine. ITs a really decent place and I hope it continues to do well.
Absolutely love! Been going there with my mum since they opened when I was a kid, they have the best tom yum soup I've ever had and the staff are just so lovely, when I order online it takes virtually no time and it's always delicious and generous portions for the price, will continue to eat there always, ps try the moneybags they are to die for

A good place for a reasonably priced yet delicious lunch. Good menu selection of popular thai dishes. Friendly staff and prompt service. Food is cooked fresh and served with steaming rice. One of my favourite lunch time venues.
Always a great meal at Doytao no matter which outlet you choose. The lunchtime special menu has a great variety and the meal size is just right with a great value for money price
With large group of friends, very efficient service, yummy food in large serves... Volcano Chicken came out flaming, plenty of it and mild, tasty flavour.

This place was fine for a light snack. I had a green curry chicken and satay chicken and it all tasted fine.
