I should have suspected something untoward when I noticed on their website that they're "under new manage". I rang on Saturday to book a table for lunch on Sunday and was told they have plenty of tables, just turn up. The first question I was asked when we arrived was: "Do you have a reservation?"They squeezed us in and thus began the longest Sunday lunch of my life. The four of us had a main, a dessert and a coffee. We arrived at midday and left after 3:30pm.The cafe is desperately understaffed, leaving their poor wait staff incredibly overworked. The quality of service was consistent with desperate staff trying to service an excessive number of customers.Regarding the food itself...the men...
1) waited for 45 minutes for a coffee on a very unbusy day (Wednesday mid-morning)2) other people near us ordered after us and were served before us3) weird waitress without a smile came to us without menus and said abruptly, 'Do you know what you want?"4) Pear bread took another 12 minutes to arrive after getting the 45-minute-wait coffee. I asked for 'no ricotta cheese' with my order of pear bread, but sure enough, there was ricotta cheese with the order.5) when i went to pay - and we DID NOT have a table number - the cashier-weird-waitress who took our order earlier said 'which table were you at?" I said I don't know, we ordered ... (and there were so few patrons, it seemed like a trick q...
Went with family for brunch, easy access for grandma with elevator from car park.I enjoyed my coffee, however not everyone at the table had the same opinion of the coffee. Ordered the corn fritters, these were quite nice but a little different, it needed the accompanying garnish to get it over the line. However the poached egg was a little cold. Family seemed to enjoy their respective meals. It is a lovely setting in the garden, however we couldn't sit in the sun and receive table service (have to walk up to cashier and order if you want to sit in the garden - bit unusual). So we had to sit in the shade (bit cold) and the service was okay.
My daughter and I visited Eden Gardens on a beautiful Sunday morning. We love our local garden centre and gift shop. BUT this is the last time we will eat there. Last two times we have eaten here we were left with a very sour taste in our mouths - literally! My daughter ordered the Thai Beef salad - it smelt strange and tasted worse. When I mentioned it to waitress she shrugged her shoulders! Most expensive lunch I've not eaten!

Waited at the "Please wait here to be seated sign" for 15 minutes while multiple staff walked past. Cafe not busy. Eventually managed to stop a staff who then told us that breakfast had finished and lunch doesn't start for another half an hour to 45 minutes. Can't comment on the food. Second time we've tried to eat there but can't seem to get there at a time when they are actually serving food.
We tried to have a Mother's Day lunch with our family .........we arrived promptly, but they were slow to take our order, the meals when they eventually came out were average at best. The dead fruit fly and hair were complimentary with 2of our desserts. No consistency in meal sizes or plating on our table either. Service was poor to adequate. Give this one a miss, we will never got there again
We had the whole family go for Mother's Day lunch and the service was horrendous, the food was only ok, and we expected more for what we paid for.. we had to wait nearly 2hrs for entree, and from when we sat to receiving desert was 4hrs!!!!. They have very little staff, the waitress we had was super lovely but she was barely there as she has so many tables to deal with. I won't be going back
Arrived at probably the end of the day just for a quick cup of coffee as no food except for desserts were on offer. Seemed fine although the staff on ordering spent quite some time chatting to each other. Menu seemed average.

Poorly managed. They need about three times the staff as the service is very very slow. Also very pricey. Great venue let down by poor management.
Taken there by a client and the service and food was deplorable, in fact the chicken was the worst I have ever had.
