Local buzz and anticipation were in high gear awaiting the opening of Dredge, Irvington. Irvington you may know, is becoming quite the place for Foodies with a flurry of recent eateries that now include well known and respected Chef/Owner Bryan Byrd's latest restaurant, Dredge. Came for dinner and was quickly seated. Lots of group seating as well as tables and booths in the back. Definitely off season as there was a lot of open space that is likely filled during season. First off, this is a bar. And as a result, it was bar food. Not that it's a bad thing, but I think it's a misnomer to call it a restaurant that serves alcohol. It's the other way and the food is limited to quick, bar foods. It was tasty, but the variety is definitely limited. Started with the rum punch and fried oysters. Would highly recommend both. Then went with the fish tacos which were again good, but was hoping to get some more substantial food. Finished off with a micro slice of key lime pie....
Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful (not only did they have a proper high chair, they helped us sort out which table would best shade our bebe) and the food was exceptional. We started off with the fresh local Rappahannock oysters and they were just amazing. Big, juicy, and buttery. House Champagne Vinegar Mignonette was tasty as well. Wife- Fresh Catch Tacos, blackened, perfection ? Me- Roasted Cuban Pork with black beans and rice, perfectly faithful incarnation of the Caribbean staple, ? Toddler- 'Viet-Cajun ' Udon with veggies grilled shrimp in a house soy, just delicious! She loved it as well. We would definitely come back here in a heartbeat should we ever find ourselves once agai...
This place makes the pandemic so good. Right away and just a great place to enjoy creative seafood. We had a curry scallop dish that was so fresh and full of taste, I never had anything like it! All we had was wonderful and the staff was amazing.

We enjoyed a delightful dinner. The seafood was fresh, the ambiance was cozy, and the staff was incredibly friendly. This was a wonderful surprise we discovered during our vacation. Be sure to try the Key West Margarita!
Pretty good food, very nice service, and a fun menu. The fried oysters have a hush puppies batter on them. I think they could add some of the cabbage from the tacos to the pork egg rolls. Drinks were fun and varied.
Thoroughly enjoyed the soft shell crab sandwich. It was excellent. My server was just right, and the lemon crunch ice cream was something special. I would happily go here again.
Beginning of October outdoor food. Best Clam Chowder ever, light and brothy. Fried oysters taco was my first eve in fried oysters. We'll be back. Well done... Dredge!

The sake clams are a must-try! Make sure to ask for Kelly as your waitress—she provides excellent service, and the food is outstanding!
The experience was excellent, and the prices were reasonable. I highly recommend it!
