The owner of the restaurant is incredibly kind and friendly. She is always ready to assist. The food is decent, with some dishes standing out more than others. The beef and mushroom dish, along with the Singapore chowmein and pineapple chicken, were particularly noteworthy. The wonton soup was rated 6 out of 10 and could have been improved with some fresh green onion and sesame oil. The hot and sour soup was good, although it could have been spicier. One critique is that the restaurant can be slow to refill trays, likely to maintain the crispness of fried foods. More frequent replenishment with smaller portions is recommended. It was disappointing that there was no barbecued pork or soy chic...
last night had a great first dinner at the restaurant driftwood. it was very busy with most people with the buffet. we ordered 4 dishes from the menu. very large portions therefore have enough rest for another meal. service was great. someone has always looked after to make sure everything is in order. the food came fast, hot and tasty. this restaurant would be highly recommended for eating, service and cleanliness. we will definitely come back.
I visited this restaurant for the second time and was impressed with the wide selection of dishes that were hot and fresh. The staff were attentive in clearing used plates, refilling water, and keeping the place clean. I also noticed a staff member continuously wiping up spills around the buffet area for the customers. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future.
Terrible for takeout. We threw all the food out , on a 100$ order. Bland, gross and tasteless. They might good for eat in, but after our take out experience, I will never order again. tans kitchen was taken over by this company and trust me there is no way to compare the product that is now served. from very good to the worst eat, not only taste wise, but my gott the food they make is terrible! parksville we deserve better than that! hopefully they go out of business and a real chinese food business come with.
We have ordered from here several times, but never will again. There must be new owners. $7 delivery charge, was told they don't do dry garlic ribs, frozen veg in the chow mein, I could go on but they don't care and I won't waste any more time on them.
I just got $40.00 worth of Chinese food, asked for extra soy sauce, they wanted 2.00 so that I rejected . I have 40’00 worth eating on Chinese and 1 soy sauce! - yes? never again!

Great buffet in a casual atmosphere. Great variety of dishes and all that we sampled were delicious, excellent service.
