1) Do not eat here, if you expect an important call - the main hall is located in a cave-like basement, with no Swiss network coverage, only French. 2) Basic manners are alien to the owner himself - you will be greeted, and perhaps even seated, but not shown where to leave your overcoat, or offered a better seat, in case yours is uncomfortable, despite the place being half empty.3) Keep an eye on your aperitif - the stakes are high for it to suddenly disappear, as the waiter persists repeatedly on you making choice of food from the menu, fumbling around with napkins and unnecessary interruptions. 4) Do not expect the owner to be aware of his own menu - I had to argue that his menu offers Par...
Now the Léman is a surprising place. First of all, the main waiter is one of the nicest waiters you will find. If you have been there more regular for a week and you come back a year later, he will remember you. And he will take great care of you.The food itself is not the best I have eaten, but I have also eaten much worse. Lutry is expensive and so is the Léman. The surprise part is the south american specials which you will find at the end of the menu. So the basic ingredients are the same like for the other dishes but the taste is very different. Just try.
A great little restaurant in the town of Lutry. The interior makes you think you are in a small french tavern. The fondue is a generous helping of delicious hot cheese. We ordered the simple fondue with bread. I saw a table nearby that ordered the fondue with a variety of meats and vegetables to go along. It looked good. Like all restaurants in Switzerland, be prepared for high prices by North American standards.
Ok, I may be quite partial to this place as they don't only serve Swiss food, but also Peruvian delicacies, and they are really good at it. I love this place, the staff treats you really nice, and they always accommodate that I don't speak French. I meet the owners, and they are really nice too. Dropped in for lunch and the three of us all had different salads followed by coffee. Lovely food that was both tasty and well presented. A bit on the expensive side, but I suspect that has more to do with the fall in the value of the pound rather than being expensive. Would definitely come back.
Dropped in for dinner. Good variety of stews, fish, fondues ( meat and cheese) and grills. During our visit, Peruvian dishes were also available.Lutry is blessed with a variety of good little restaurants and bistros and this is one of them.Very friendly and hospitable service.

Good food and the service is quick and friendly. There special dish is the "Potence" where you cook your onwn meat.
