We recently discovered an amazing new restaurant in Whitestone, Queens, called DP Riverside Grill. It offers fresh seafood right by the water, and we were treated to a breathtaking sunset as we enjoyed some delicious and reasonably priced food along with excellent service. The lamb hot dogs and fish we tried were incredibly fresh and packed with flavor. The menu boasts a diverse selection of mouthwatering dishes, making it tough to decide what to order! What a wonderful surprise! This restaurant offers incredibly delicious food. For our starters, we had flatbread with hummus and onion fritters, both of which were fresh and delightful. The wine we ordered was served in large, beautiful glasses. For our main dishes, we enjoyed filet mignon kebabs and saffron grilled chicken kebabs, with options of fries, rice, or salad. The atmosphere was charming, and the service was outstanding. Since it was Valentine's Day, I was presented with a long-stemmed rose as I departed. I highly recommend this place—it's truly a hidden gem!
The dock area felt a bit precarious, especially on a windy day—my wife’s sunglasses nearly flew into the water, and I had to keep a close watch on our table to ensure nothing fell overboard. That said, this place is truly a hidden gem, and I'm really glad I found it! Our server, Lucky, was very attentive to our needs. I think it would be helpful to set up an outdoor station with items like utensils, bread, condiments, water, ice, salt, and pepper, which would reduce the need to make multiple trips inside. What a delightful find! We had a lovely lunch/brunch by the waterfront at a table right at the end of the pier. The food was amazing! I ordered chicken and rice, and it came with a side of perfectly crispy fries. The cocktail menu was impressively creative. The family that owns the restaurant is charming, and the service was outstanding. I can't wait to go back! It's just a quick 30-minute drive from Brooklyn. The kebabs were excellent, but the keema naan fell short of expectations. The ambiance is wonderful, although it comes with a steeper price. If you’re seeking a fine dining experience, this restaurant is certainly worth checking out. However, if you prefer a more laid-back dinner, there are many other Indian restaurants that provide better flavors at more reasonable prices. I wasn't covering the cost of this meal myself or using a friend's funds.
We dined at this restaurant on Saturday night and were thrilled to discover such a wonderful place. The view of the pancake—presumably a notable landmark or natural feature—was breathtaking. The staff welcomed us with warmth, and the service was outstanding. With four of us at the table, we tried a variety of dishes from the menu, and each one was delightful. The scenery became even more stunning as the sun set. I will definitely be back!
The kebabs were delicious, but I wasn't a fan of the keema nuts. The atmosphere is amazing, though it does come with a higher price tag. If you're seeking an upscale dining experience, this place is definitely worth checking out. However, if you're after a more casual dinner, there are plenty of other Indian restaurants that offer better flavors at a much more affordable price. I don't think I'll be returning on my own.
I visited the restaurant with Sandipan on the same day, and we had an amazing experience. The owner graciously stayed open late for us and personally made a fantastic salad to accommodate our friends. New Koch is truly outstanding!
