We went there on a Tuesday night for dinner based on a recommendation. The place was relatively busy and had a nice vibe to it. My gin and tonics seemed a little weak but my husband was pleased with his beer. Everything was quite nice until we started eating. We ordered an appetizer of onion rings which were quite unappealing and greasy. They were as huge as doughnuts - more batter than anything - and had either stayed in the fryer too long or were cooked in old oil. The three of us could not eat more than 1 and so we did not finish the plate. My husband's onion soup was ok - too salty and not enough wine flavour. All the elements are there. Good location, nice atmosphere, interesting menu. It is just that the kitchen does seem to care anymore and the manager I spoke to had the wrong response. When I explained that the meal I ordered was very sloppy and greasy, her response was that no one ever complained before. Implying that I don't know what I am talking about. WRONG ANSWER. The onion soup: For 8$ I expect more, very flavorless. The onion rings: overcooked and very oily. I have had them before and I suspect they have not changed the oil in a long time. The Pub was recommended by friends & we were not disappointed. Large selection of beers to choose from, imported & domestic with lots on tap. The wine list was small, but offered some good choices. We all had the Haddock in beer batter with chips. The serving was substantial & very tasty.We sat inside but they offer a small terrace.The staff is very friendly & helpful. Good place to go out just for a beer or for a meal.Note that this Pub is for 18+ only. (no children)
My daughter treated me to lunch there. We had two of the specials of the day - shrimp wrap with fries and the filet mignon pizza with salad. It came with a soup which was red cabbage which we didn't want and so paid $2.99 extra for the onion soup. Everything was excellent except there was way too much food. The service and drinks are always terrific, the huge selection of beers on tap and ambiance in this quaint pub keep us going in every few months however we always found the food lacking. This time it seemed different, more consistent and tasty. Hope it continues!
Went with a few friends for a drinks and a bite to eat. Nice place and ambiance. Staff is friendly and polite. Menu is simple but food was good and not too expensive. Good place for some drinks and casual rendez-vous.
Ordered take out the Sheppard's pie, it was just okay, lacked flavor and seasoning, however, I do intend to return and eat in as I have heard good things from others.

This is a fun place to go on a summer evening. The patio is awesome. Atmosphere is always upbeat, service is good, and of course the food is excellent.
