The place is full of authentic bits and pieces of Fall River history…little known fact most of the woodwork is from old schools throughout the city that were torn down. The attention to detail carries over into everything they do. It is the perfect ambience to enjoy truly unique bbq and other smoked delicious foods from their one of a kind smoker i have seen the wood stash for it….alot of thought and hard work went into selecting the perfect wood to enhance the flavor of everything they cook. My favorite thing I have ever eaten here was the smoked turkey for thanksgiving. A whole bird smoked to perfection! Try this place! You will love it…the Donovan Family is passionate about our community...
I really wanted to like this place. Sadly I was a victim of false advertisement. Burnt ends, are the slices of the end of a beautifully and wonderfully smoked Brisket. It is sought after and special. So I saw it on the menu and ordered 2. Shockingly I got nervy, tough, tiny beef bits drowning in what tasted like Baked bean juice and bottled BBQ sauce. It looked like dog food from a can(see gravy train)and tasted like a child made it. Potato Salad was like mashed potatoes with mustard. I was so aggravated I left it in the fridge considering bringing it back. Perhaps they can do better, but I personally will not give them another go.
What a gem!! When you enter, it 's like stepping back in time. The storefront windows are decorated with antiques . You enter and see The large mahogany bar that is so welcoming. The dining room is full of antique collectibles taking you back to the years of Fall Rivers best times. Now for the food.. outstanding ribs and wings with great sides. Nice variety on the menu. Very friendly, welcoming staff. I can see this becoming the Cheers bar for the area. Definately somewhere you want to go back to again and again! S. Perry
I had higher expectations for this food but it was not it the brisket was dry and tough the burnt ends tasted like steak tips with bbq sauce. It said that it came with coleslaw and white bread but didn't come with nether the Mac n cheese was bland and a very small amount Mac n cheese the cornbread was cold not warm the only thing that was good was the ribs and it was not even that busy so how can you forget the coleslaw and bread when it says that it will come with it I had high hopes for place will not be coming back. This place is awesome. I've been here several times and never had a bad meal yet. Shredded bbq chicken was a good spicy BBQ flavor, cornbread delicious pulled pork and brisket also delicious. Jay the bartender was super friendly, really good dude. Good selection of drink specials and beer. The bar itself is awesome, it looks like an old wooden saloon style bar. I really don't have anything bad to say. Love this place!
Visited for take out first time this weekend. Dunnys has a great atmosphere when you walk inside. The smell of BBQ was intoxicating and I knew I was in for a treat. I ordered the Cowboy Sampler and everything great except the pulled chicken was a little dry. The Texas Twinkies were my favorite. I will definitely be ordering again. Staff was friendly and quick service.
I was at a wedding at the event center above this restaurant and they catered appetizers for the wedding. AMAZING wings!!!! I am absolutely going to go there and try other menu items!
