We come here often - this is one of the better Korean restaurants in the niagara region but there aren't that many choices. They have a lunch menu but we've only been for dinner. They upgraded and revamped their menu - lots more Korean items offered but they got rid of the sushi. That's ok there are other sushi restaurants in the area. For Korean - recommend the soondubu jigae (soft tofu stew), gamjatang (pork bone soup). Bulgogi is ok - portion could be bigger for $16. Best was the banchan - kimchi very flavourful you can taste the seafood (could be shrimp or oyster), fish cakes, kelp with gochujang type sauce, and the kongnamul muchim soybean sprouts. Nothing fancy just real good food! My favorite meal to get is the Dolsot-bibimbap, a rice dish served in a hot stone bowl. This dish from a foreign land has somehow become comfort food to me and I get it almost every time, another dish I like is the Tangsuyuk, it is crispy deep fried pork coated with sweet and sour sauce. The pork is crunchy and the sauce is irresistible! The best part of this restaurant is that it's only just down the street and on a nice day it's a few minutes walk!
Went there last week. The service was very good, a bit disappointed because all the bbq tables were all full, so we didn't get to experience that part of the restaurant. Had a variety of dishes, all came promptly and what as supposed to be hot in temperature was indeed hot, and cold was cold. The clear noodle beef dish was how-ever very oily and the noodles were very gelatinous. Flavors were good, but the noodles were disappointing.
We had a wonderful dining experience at Duru Korean restaurant with my whole family! The presentation was excellent and our server was very friendly and helpful. Korean place on Welland Ave which has stood the test of time. Atmosphere is cafeteria-esque but food is well-prepared. Check out their Bibimbap, BBQ eel and the spicy squid entrees. Korean beer available by the bottle. I've been going here for years and never have had a bad experience.
Good naengmyun in the Hamilton-Niagara corridor is hard to find, but Duru provided. Staff is kind and attentive. Prices are a little steep but we will return for the taste.
the food and ambiance is nice , the food was tasty and the cold dishes were something i really enjoyed . i would recommend this restaurant to all the Korean food lovers.
The food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious. I can't praise my experience enough! I highly recommend trying the dinner for two, you won't be disappointed.
Had a wonderful Korean BBQ experience with my children. The food was delicious! It was my first time trying something with Bonito flakes, very unique!
