I ordered a variety of cookies, and when I did, the staff asked if I was really sure I wanted so many. I explained that there were ten of us, and they insisted that it would be too many cookies. But who's to say we wouldn't enjoy having leftovers? I've never encountered a business that tries to sell less or questions what a customer desires. That was certainly not a good experience. This was my first and last visit.
I'm from New Jersey and I've been working in Birmingham for the past year. I've been craving an italian hoagie on real bread for a while. I took a day trip to Atlanta and typed in italian deli near me. The photos passed my test. I ordered the italian hoagie plus prosciutto and roasted red peppers. It was AMAZING!!! It hit the spot. It tasted like an authentic italian hoagie and the bread was delicious.
Good food but overpriced and staff less than pleasant I made a large phone order the gentleman taking order did not appear to have patience, less than friendly, made me feel rushed Sort of an implicit hurry up so I can get you off my phone. Went to pick up arrived early heard chatter in the back, saying he is too early young lady upfront was gracious I will not be back
The quality of the dishes was excellent, and the prices were reasonable for the value received. I would have given it five stars, but there were three items on my list that were unavailable. Fresh baked bread ? . Soft inside, crunchy outside. Italian meats, cheese, toppings ?. Full of flavor. This was a great small business. Do not expect portions comparable to Jersey Mike's as you will be disappointed. The cannoli was exceptional.
Did you know you can get fresh pesto here? You don't even have to get a lot. Pay as much as you want. Also their Bresola is so good even though it breaks the bank. The sopressa salami reminds me of the wine salami I get in Vancouver. ??
The selection of Italian foods may be small, but the quality is outstanding. I particularly enjoy the sandwiches and the daily specials. This place is truly a local gem.
