When we placed our order, we were informed that some items were not available on the menu, which was already limited. My partner's choice was no longer available after 15 minutes, so we ended up ordering the hunch of kay's and the garnel sampi. Both dishes seemed to taste the same, although they were not bad aside from being excessively lemony. The scampi was not as expected and the lemon overwhelmed the dish. We were charged extra for bread and the portion was small, as well as extra for parmesan, which was priced higher than usual. Despite these issues, some of the food was really good and we appreciated the generous portion sizes. However, the limited menu options were disappointing.
This was our second visit to East Bay Meeting House in Charleston, once before COVID-19 and now that they have reopened after South Carolina lifted all restrictions. They have maintained their excellent menu and prices. Our experience was fantastic, from the food and service to the ambiance. This hidden gem in Charleston has a unique European flair. Like many places in Charleston right now, reservations are a must. Don't overlook this place. Locals may not know what they're missing out on.
The $45 Charcuterie Board (served on a plate) consists of Wheat Thins, Saltines, a few mixed Nuts, 4 slices of Prosciutto, 4 slices of Salami, and some Green Olives. It appears to have been assembled hastily. The Frozen pizza/flatbread is passed off as homemade but is clearly store-bought frozen and labeled as fresh. There are many superior dining options available in the city.
The service felt rushed even though the restaurant had plenty of empty tables. Limited options were available on the menu. The sauce for my entrée was thin, but the fish dish was tasty and well-prepared. While this used to be one of our favorite restaurants, this visit left us feeling disappointed.

We dined at this restaurant for the second time and once again had an amazing steak. The food is incredibly tasty and the service is impeccable. It feels like a homey, family-run establishment that welcomes you warmly.
Best overall experience so far in Charleston (lived here 2 months and trying all the “popular” spots) . Limited menu but excellent ! And best service.
Service was terrible and wait staff was rude. Food was exceptionally terrible, I will not return nor recommend to anyone.
The service was excellent. It was very quaint and the atmosphere was wonderful. We would go back without hesitation.

Quickly seated and waited on. Salad was crisp and easily enough for two. Crab cakes and she crab soup were amazing!
Great intimate experience. I would have appreciated a larger menu selection. Desserts were exceptional.
