Yesterday, we had dinner at Bengal Spice for the first time since it changed its name. I first tried their curry over forty years ago, and used to dine here at least once every two weeks. We received a flyer in the mail, which I usually don't read, but this time the menu caught my attention. One dish that stood out was the goat. We decided to go for the banquet night special, which included Poppadum's and a drink, and started with the railway chilli fry - I had chicken and my partner had paneer, both dishes were delicious and reminded us of Indo-Chinese cuisine we had elsewhere. We arrived for our booked table at 1.00p.m and were taken straight to our table. Staff were attentive and helpful nice complementary glass of champagne to start us off while we chose from the menu. We ordered a single starter of chilli chicken with two main meals of Mango Chicken and a Tandoori Mixed Grill with salad. A side dish of curried mash potatoes and lime rice with a nan bread. I have been living in Rushden for 2 years and had yet to find a good Indian restaurant until now! We decided to get a takeaway and it did not disappoint. The order was delivered very quickly, and the food was delicious with generous portion sizes. They even included extra popadoms and onion bhajis, which as a pregnant woman, made me very happy. The only thing I wish I had known was that the chutneys for the poppadoms need to be requested separately, but that's not a big deal. I will definitely be ordering from here again!
Made a right numpty of myself last night gave a 2 star review when I should have checked my facts. Our meal was exactly the price of the listed items on the menu delivered on time it was hot and just as tasty as eating in the restaurant. I need to apologise for my hasty review thinking I was right when in fact I was wrong . The Bengal Spice is the best in this area for tasty spicy curries. Will definitely go there again and use the takeaway again. That is if they will let me in now. Sorry again. Joe Walsh

We have visited this restaurant 3 times since it has opened. Every time the food has been exceptional. So tasty and the sizes of the portions are great. Always enough to take home. The staff are all very friendly and there is always a very good atmosphere in the restaurant. We went last night for their banquet night, absolute bargain and fantastic value for money, 4 courses for £11.95. We will definitely be back again soon and look forward to it very much.
I have been to this restaurant twice in less than two weeks - once with friends and tonight with my family. The food is fantastic, truly authentic and made fresh. The service is outstanding, with both the waitstaff being very attentive and accommodating to our needs. The restaurant itself is charming and spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend a visit here and will definitely be coming back myself.
We've lived in the town for 5 years and have generally been disappointed with the standard of curry served, generally flavorless. Bengal Spice on our first attempt gets a 4 rating, this will be our benchmark for future visits. Good menu and good flavours. I had the goat curry for a new experience, it was very good. All in all a very positive experience, particularly from the service team.
My friend and I visited on banquet night this week, the curry was superb and the restaurant nice and warm, the staff especially the young lady serving were very attentive and I am very pleased we tried Bengal Spice

The best vegetarian curry ever called Bengal Special Vegetables on the menu. Music made the night special, not Indian loop tape more contemporary. Service was excellent. Medium
