On Friday, February 23rd I ordered a bunch of takeout from the menu Eddie F’s. It was all fried food. I had to travel a ways to get back home. At the time, we were the only two diners inside, and I noticed that two takeout orders were prepared and picked up during our visit. Our server was very friendly and professional, as was the woman cooking in the back. The only downside was the coleslaw—it was simply dry cabbage and lacked flavor, missing either mayo or vinegar, depending on your preference. I visited the restaurant for lunch on Friday during Travers Weekend, and it wasn’t too crowded, so I decided to stop by. I ordered a cold lobster roll, a grilled fish sandwich, and a side salad that was generously sized with plenty of black olives. The potato salad and cole slaw were amazing as well. To wash it all down, I enjoyed a Sam Adams draft beer. The lobster roll was packed with meat, and the fish sandwich was so generous that I had to use both hands to hold it. Wow, the food, atmosphere, and staff were fantastic! My husband and I indulged in whole belly clams, onion rings, and fries, along with some delicious fish bites as our appetizer. Everyone on the staff was friendly and provided excellent service. Rob was especially helpful and patient as we took our time deciding on our order.
This is a delightful little spot known for serving the best gluten-free fried fish we've ever experienced! We highly recommend it. If you have dietary restrictions, you'll find fantastic gluten-free options for fried shrimp, clams, scallops, and fish.
