On a visit to Villafranca we came across this bar/cafeteria near to were we had parked the car, oh what a find!! The restaurant is basically decorated, with old black and white photos of Vilafranca, the menu 10€ even on a Saturday with local Penedes wine included. The food was excellent, home style cooking with lots of flavour, every course we returned each plate empty! This is a popular venue with the locals, the waiter working at super speed so you didn't wait long between each course. Although it wasn't busy when we entered at 13.00, I would recommend booking ahead so as not to be disappointed. Certainly would return for more if I was in the area again at anytime.
We happened upon this restaurant on a wander through Vilafranca looking for lunch, with preference for a menu. It was recommended by someone in the street. We had an excellent meal with the menu only being 10 Euros each. The menu was excellent value and the food was delicious. Although we were tourists, we were with locals who also thought it was excellent and will return. We will also return next time we are in town. The wine was great, as it should be in a restuarant in the middle of a wine region. Service was friendly and efficient. It was pretty busy so would recommend calling ahead and booking to be sure.
La comida normalita, para el precio que tiene el menú Xató... Normalito...no es de mala calidad pero tampoco vale lo que se paga... Las torradas estaban blandas, cómo si hiciera tiempo que estaban untadas, y la esqueixada con una de tomate rallado exagerado y con espinas... El cabrito rebozado estaba muy bueno eso sí,y los postres no estaban nada mal, el servicio de 10! En todo momento pendientes de todo, muy bueno y agradable, y los baños y el restaurante muy limpio.
Tot super guay, crec que està dirigida per un matrimoni/parella, que van a atendre ells mateixos als clients amb molta amabilitat. Per una altra cosa el menjar super bo tot, la quantitat i el preu són molt raonables pel servei i plats que donen. Vam anar la meva família i jo expresament per al xai que servien. Vam demanar els dos tipus de xai que tenen, al forn i a la planxa primer/entrant postre cafe sortiria més o menys a 25 euros per persona. Tot de 10/10

La qualitat global del restaurant ha baixat considerablement.El menjar rescalfat i passat. Fins i tot el tallat fred. El servei super lent i poc atent en general. Global quality of the restaurant has decreased a lot. Meals are rewarmed and passed. Even the coffee was cold. Service people very slow and pay a bit attention.
Platos caseros , muy ricos y abundantes. Servicio muy amable. De los sitios que te hacen sentir en casa. El cordero estaba buenísimo y muy tierno. Cada vez que me paso por Vilafranca como aquí.
Camida de lo mejor que ecomido servicio muy atentos los dueños super amables así comoel resto del personal lo recomiendo volveré me quedé con ganas de probar otros pratos
Muy buen servicio. Acogedor, muy atentos en todo momento y la comida buenísima. Platos que quedas satisfecho, bien presentados Calidad/ precio.
