I tried this food truck for the first time earlier this month. They were going to be outside of lake Chabot theatre in Castro valley in and we had planned to watch a movie so it was a perfect meal to take inside. When I say that this place knows how to season their food I mean it. I ordered their popular surf n turf quesa taco and oh mah god. Amazing. The shrimp itself is sautéed with so much flavor. On its own would be amazing but then combined with the cheese and steak *chefs kiss* it's everything I could ever want in a taco. Best quesabirria in Oakland. Forreal! The salsas are very flavorful, so ask for extra if you can! The service used to be painfully slow but they've improved a lot since opening, but now there is usually a wait because it's so dang good and there's a line! Parking is bountiful although the potholes in deep east Oakland can be treacherous so drive carefully. In terms of ambiance, it's usually located close to the Coliseum bart station near the warehouses. The only thing you'll kneed to be careful of--they close kinda early (3pm) and they sometimes change locations, so be sure to check their IG to make sure their at their usual spot near the Coliseum bart station. Hands down best quesa Surf and turf I've ever eaten! The crunch the savory lordddddd and with the consome. $4 for a surf and turf taco is not bad considering they did not use those itty bitty shrimp! Best part is I've been on a time crunch and didn't know their number but followed them on instagram so I message them to see if I can pre order and let me tell you yes they can! Food was done in 10mins, I didn't know I could go straight to the pick up line so I waited in the ordering line but the moment I got there, food was already ready!! Love it!! I FINALLY got to go for lunch! The picture of the taco below was from last week and it was DELICIOUS ! But when I went yesterday, I got 3 queso asada and a watermelon dragon fruit drink! (I was starving and forgot to take a picture but when I say their food is AH-MAZIINNNGGG! My God on today!! Everything is seasoned so well The person who took our order was kind and patient. Omg! I just tried the shredded beef tacos. RIDICULOUSLY DELICIOUS!!! Toes wiggling and all. I will definitely be back.... Like tomorrow lol
Love this place my boyfriend took me when I first moved to Hayward. We will always go when they're in Castro Valley.
