This was always my favorite place to eat, until recently. In the past year tge prices have almost doubled and the food quality is awful. Tonight we ordered 4 soft tacos, I asked for them to add tomatoe and sour cream. There was no more than 3 little pieces of tomatoe on each and a tiny tiny bit of sour cream. They charged me 5.00 for added tomatoe, 3.00 for added sour cream. 4 little tacos cost 18.00 plus tax! I ordered the Salsa Special that was 9.00 less than a year ago is now 16.00. There was 2 small queso dips added, for a grand total of 50.47. This is entirely to expensive. By the way, the shrimp on Salsa Special was so tuff you could barely chew them. Will find a new Mexican resturant.

I highly recommend this restaurant for dinner! The food is simply outstanding, with standout dishes like the Chips and Salsa, Chicken Fajitas, and the Fajita Quesadilla. The Rice and Beans are delightful, and the Soft Taco is a must-try, especially paired with the Grilled Shrimp. If you're looking for something vegetarian, the Veggie Fajitas are excellent as well. The service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is welcoming and vibrant. Overall, a fantastic dining experience!
On the road and looking for a Mexican restaurant. El Sombrero is pretty good. The service was wonderful and prompt. The atmosphere is exactly what you think it would be for a Mexican restaurant... Not a food chain but personal owned family company. TVs all around, good bar, plenty of seating and parking. Food was not bad, nothing wow. Didn't expect anything and ask for exactly what you want or there may be a slight let down...(No ice in iced tea). No sizzle on fajitas... Simple things. Coming from Texas, it's difficult to compare.
Visited this evening and it was negative from the door. Waiting on someone to get seated with the response "it 's not my job: when all you had to do was I will get someone to assist us. The demeanor of the employees were not very pleasing at all. I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I received during my takeout experience. I should have sensed something was off when I called in my order and wasn't allowed to make any modifications, which had been an option during my previous visits. The manager was rude and unhelpful, clearly indicating that there is new management in charge. I wouldn't consider spending my money there again.
It was ok...idk if I'll go back. The food was OK. Just not enough seasoning on the meat side. The atmosphere was ok. Good place to chill. Had to ask for chips and salsa. Guacamole was starting to turn brown. Fajita salad did not come with a taco shell bowl. Steak was tough and dry. Don?t know if I?d recommend.
