As for the food, I ordered the spicy chicken and waffles. I'm usually not very picky about my meals, but this dish was lacking. The chicken was bland and seemed to be merely coated in flour before frying. The texture indicated that either the oil was old or the frying time was too long, resulting in some inedible charred bits. The only positive aspect was the country gravy. Furthermore, the restaurant’s idea of "spicy" seemed to involve just adding chopped jalapeños, which did little to improve the flavor.
Overall, the experience was disappointing. We settled the bill and left a 10% tip, which reflected our overall dissatisfaction.
Have been coming to Emily’s Pancake House for a year now. Always have been satisfied, the food is great, you pay for what you get. Prices are reasonable, I do recommend coming early on weekends for breakfast cause it gets packed. My go to is their meat lovers skillet really hits the spot! Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast
