As someone who isn’t from the STL area, finding good Saint Louis-style Chinese food has been a challenge since I moved here. Most places serve dishes that are overly sweet. Emperor China, however, offers the first genuinely tasty American Chinese food I’ve had in about three years. I ordered black pepper chicken and pork lo mein—my usual test dishes when trying a new place—and for the first time, the flavors were truly savory and well-balanced. If the quality on their menu stays consistent, Emperor China will definitely become my new favorite restaurant.
Not a native of STL area Saint Louis style Chinese food has been the bane of my existence since moving up here. It seems like every restaurant, the food is overly sweet. This restaurant is the first GOOD American Chinese food I've had in about 3 years. Igot black pepper chicken and pork lo mein (my go to order at every new restaurant) and this is the first time it's been trulysavory and good. If the quality here continues, it will be my new favorite spot.
I was quite disappointed with the food. The Mei Fun was overcooked and lacked flavor. The sweet and sour chicken had barely any chicken in it, mostly just a lot of breading. While other reviews are positive, I might consider giving it another chance, but my experience this time was definitely not good.
A very kind young woman handled the phone orders and checkout with a smile. The food arrived fresh, hot, and tasty. The General Tso’s chicken was quite similar to the sesame chicken, but still enjoyable. I will definitely return, and next time I might ask for a bit more spice.

This is seriously the best Chinese food I have ever had! When I lived in st charles we ordered it all the time! We moved about 35 minutes away 4 years ago. I have never found a place that even compares to this.. I make the hour round trip just to enjoy this amazing food!!
Really did not enjoy the food. The Mei fun was very overcooked and had no flavor. The sweet and sour chicken had almost no chicken in it, just a ton of the breading. Other reviews are great so I may give it another shot but did not have a goodexperience at all.
Very sweet young lady taking phone orders and checking you out at pickup. Food was fresh, hot and delicious. General Tso?s chicken was not much different than sesame chicken, but still good. I will be back for certain, and maybe request more spice inthat.
Without a doubt, this is the best Chinese food I've had in ages! The fried rice is outstanding, and the sesame chicken is delicious. Having just moved back to St. Charles, this will definitely be our new favorite spot!

Love this place! Seems to be family owned, and they have always been very nice! Love the sesame chicken and friend rice! Hands down the best Chinese in st charles.
The BEST Chinese food. I've lived in other states and this remains my absolute favorite. The BEST Crab Rangoon!
