A sad aspect of today’s experience was that I ordered through DoorDash, but the last time I went to pick up my order, it sat on the shelf for 20 minutes while they attended to other customers in the dining area. I ordered Shrimp Foo Young, which usually has a rich, flavorful gravy that you could almost enjoy like soup. Today, it was bland. The Egg Foo Young patties were charred as well.
Another time, I tried the orange chicken, and I was baffled by the soggy breading on the chicken, which was accompanied by a minimal amount of sauce. Ordered take out. Asked for won ton soup and they messed it up. Went back and asked for it again but there were no wontons in my soup. There was cabbage and carrots. Traditional won ton soup carries bokchoy scallions and a couple of the wonton dumplings yet there were none. And when I called back to ask they said they gave me the proper soup when in fact they gave me hot and sour soup. Will not be returning.
First time here, and it was a really good experience. The traditional regional dishes are delicious and more so the service was great. Our server explained things well and was helpful in taking questions. The flavors are great, I highly recommend the wood ear appetizer and the shredded pork, and the whole fish in black bean sauce if you like spicy food. Will return to try the dry pot dishes.
My wife and I moved here from the Bay Area, we were very spoiled by the Chinese choices there. In Michigan we have yet to find a spot that hits that craving. Well, here it is. Best Chinese I’ve had in 7 years of living in Michigan, legitimately some of the best Chinese I’ve ever had.

I am a loyal customer of this place. Today I invited my neighbors to have lunch with me. Food was good but one of waitresses was mean and yelled at me when I was looking for a waitress to refill water.
Food was not at all flavorful. We mentioned to make food spicy they didn’t even care about it, as it was not at all spicy. And the spring-rolls were greasy and taste really bad.
I frequently order from this restaurant, but this time my food tasted stale. It's frustrating to have to drive back after getting home, especially when you're disappointed.
Very authentic Hunan and Shangdong style food! I am from Hunan and the way they cook chicken gizzards is just the way my hometown cooks!
