The food was amazing. Our server took our pasta order but when we told her she said what options we want for salad Italian or Caesar. We assume that since she is asking for the salad without anything else our pasta would come with it without any charges. We were wrong and she charged each one of our salads. Ennio’s is by far the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to. This was my first time here at the Waterloo location but I have been to the Kitchener one multiple times and had other pizza and pasta dishes before and each and every time Ennio’s never disappoints!!! My absolute favourite is the carbonara. It is so creamy and just packed with flavours upon flavours. My boyfriend ordered the Aglio Olio with prosciutto and steak, then for dessert, their amazing made in house Nutella gelato! It was so delicious, the prices are reasonable and so worth it!! This place is so-so. There are definitely better Italian places for similar price. The vibes are different, depending on your liking, it may or may not seem appealing to you. Their food is not the best and definitely not as authentic as other Italian restaurants. We went around 7 pm on a Tuesday night and it was somewhat busy. And despite not being packed to capacity, their service was very slow. We sat at our table for over 15 minutes and no one even came to even ask for water. And then once the food order was placed, it took just around 35 minutes for the food to be ready. Both, the food and the service, can be improved drastically.
High quality and authentic Italian. The mussels were great. The shrimp is a bit bland. The service here was good as well. Bread was served beforehand. It is a bit of a pricey place but it's worth its cost. The tiramisu is also authentic. The taste satisfaction of my dish was pretty good looking forward to trying other dishes.
Decent portions, good service and delicious pasta! Came here for a business lunch, we arrived 2 min before they open and they let us in a minute before with a smile ! We had the bistecca, lasagna, penne and gnocchi and it was all delicious! They bring the drinks in the bottles and cans and provide glassware
Expensive pasta! But… super duper yummy! I always keep coming back for take out or dine in but it’s always been a comfort food when stressed. Their sauces and meatballs are to die for! I also love their Cesar salad as well. Great for dates, eating with family, and friends!
The staff was friendly, and they kept asking for feedback during the meal. I started with Italian salad, and I liked the sauce on that. I ordered Annabella and the pasta and chicken were well-cooked but the tomato was a little dry, and there was too much sauce on that.
If you want Italian this is definitely the place to go. I’ve had a couple of their pastas and they have all been amazing. Great selection of appetizers as well. Staff is always friendly and service is usually pretty quick.
Decent place. Giving 4 stars because the servers and servings are excellent. Ive been to Italy so my precious 5 stars for an Italian restaurant is something hard to achieve
