I am thrilled to see plant-based options available in this town. Despite Kent being a college town with a diverse international student population, there is a shortage of vegan eateries and options compared to the demand. It is great to see these options finally available. While most options are vegetarian, they can easily be made vegan with some adjustments. We particularly enjoyed the mushroom-tofu jambalaya (note: the hush puppies that come with it are not vegan, but the staff informed us and offered substitutions) and the tofu-plantain bowl was delicious. so glad to see the plant-based option in this city; although kent is a college city with an international student population, the vegan restaurants and options are not with the probable demand; again, so glad to see these options. Most of these options are vegetarian, not necessarily vegan, but they are easily veganized with small tweaks. we enjoyed the mushroom tofu jambalaya the hush puppies that come with them are not vegan; the personal pointed out that out and offered substitutions and the tofu stew was fabulous. service was excellent: the personal went through menu options, explains how to veganize where applicable. the environment was retro casual and relaxing.
Chicken tenders can rival CFA here super yummy with a perfectly crispy breading. Burgers are also a great choice, nice and hearty with a solid amount of cheese, and the sides of GF Mac and Cheese is worth the time every time. Lots of gluten free options, is a go to for my partner and I. Being big on texture, everything I've ordered here has been perfect.
The Lobster Bisque was very thick, the hush puppies were bland, but the goat cheese balls were tasty. The service was decent. This was a lunch meal, and the price per person was between $20-30.
