A Disappointing Experience at Es Raco Des Teix! I recently visited the much-lauded Es Raco Des Teix in Deia, Mallorca, Spain, with my spouse, and I must say that our experience left a lot to be desired. Despite the hefty price tag of 600 euros, the overall quality of the meal fell far short of our expectations. In fact, we have had better and more unique dining experiences at other establishments that don't charge an arm and a leg. One of the main issues we encountered was the minuscule portion sizes. Each dish was disappointingly small, leaving us feeling unsatisfied and craving more substance. To make matters worse, some of the dishes arrived at our table cold, which significantly impacted...
We had a great experience at this restaurant from a gastro point of view, the menu fell in the range of 50 euros (drinks not included) and you can select a 1st, a main a dessert. I chose fish soup, turbot chocolate cake. All these 3 picks were superbly finished. Only down point: we asked for a recommendation in wine and they brought the most expensive white without warning first on pricing (80€ the bottle, which is fine...but would love to have had the heads up first) In any case, fine place, comfy ambient and attentive staff, I recommend Parking: It varies depending on the station of the year, not much space so during crowded season will be challenging
We initially opted for the 4 course chef's menu, leaving out the last two options for cheese and dessert, but we were enjoying the experience so much we upgraded at the end for the full 6 courses. The staff was very friendly and we had a perfect table with views of the surrounding mountains. Expensive but a memorable evening. Service: Dine in

This was an amazing experience the food, the atmosphere and the service were excellent we had a good bottle of wine (12 volts) that we will always remember.
