As it's my birthday, my sister kindly offered a celebration meal. My smartphone said it was closed. I telephoned and they were open. The staff are new. There is adequate parking around the back. The pub is on a single floor, so it's easier if you or others are disabled. It's looks clean and tidy inside. You can, if you wish, have a meal alfresco under ventilated marquee canvas. There are many meals to choose from. We me and my sister chatted together and waited around 20 minutes. The staff and chef were friendly. The meal we had was plenty and more than we could eat. And tasty and not overcooked. You are asked to enter your car registration in a tablet on the wall by the bar. It's easy to do...
We enjoyed a light lunch yesterday and were really impressed by the fish finger sandwich. It was quite substantial, and I couldn't manage to finish it all. It featured three large pieces of fresh fish on white bloomer bread, accompanied by a small side of dressed lettuce. We also shared a portion of chips, which were nice. Overall, it’s a lovely independent pub with great food and a friendly staff.
Just wanted to say thank you so much for the relaxing meal evening we had my little girl is autistic/adhd and born with Microphaly for the first time we could had our tea in piece without her having a meltdown and in stress again thank you so much.we will definitely return she wants to come back next weekend you all done so well think the girls deserves a treat after today running round
Lovely to see this wonderful little Pub thriving again. It's been under a number of managers since we moved to the Village 22 years ago. The Timothy Taylor Landlord was SO good I filled in a CAMRA Tasting Card. Considering I only popped in to use the facilities on my way home from dropping my bike off for a service... So glad I did. The carpark is controlled parking I would recommend putting your registration number on the screen at the side of the bar first. The staff are very professional and friendly. We tried the toro pie it was very tasty. The meat was very tender. We will be visiting again.
I visited the restaurant for a quiet drink and was warmly welcomed. The drinks were reasonably priced, and the atmosphere was relaxed and cozy. I highly recommend it. Additionally, there is a touchscreen on the wall for guests to register their parking upon arrival.
I had a delightful meal on Sunday afternoon. There was a great selection of dishes and the food was truly satisfying. The ambiance was lovely, and although it's located near a busy road, there are plenty of outdoor seating options. I will definitely be returning!
