Evanston Farmers' Market

Will never go again. Went for the first time with my dog and it didn’t occur to me that dogs were not allowed as I usually go in chicago and dogs are allowed and welcomed at all of the markets I’ve been to. I didn’t see a sign, and walked in with other people who also had dogs on leashes. I’ve been very sick for a long time and this was my first outing outside of my neighborhood in chicago. The security people screamed at us in a violent and humiliating manner and accused me of lying when I said I didn’t realize dogs were not allowed, and that I didn’t see the signs. Nicely spaced out market. Lots of excellent options for fruit/veg, plus specialty booths. Tables and chairs set up so you can take a break and eat from the food stalls before, during or after your shopping.

Fabulous selection, even on a rainy dayOnly problem: no place to get a coffee or latte like last year. No quick breakfast options, only the crepe place.
