Even Stevens has been on our list for a bit, so we finally dropped by for lunch. The menu has a variety of sandwich options, anyone would be able to find something that sounded good. We tried the sprang chicken and a simple turkey and cheese sandwich. My partner also tried the pretzels and beer cheese. The Sprang Chicken sandwich was huge; you can definitely split this especially since it comes with a side. The sandwich itself was decent, but nothing really stood out. Sadly, this was the customer service experience I’ve ever had and it ruined my whole lunch at this place. The vibe wants to be cool, but they need to train their workers on good manners and customer service standards. I was waiting for half an hour for a sandwich to go as I was seeing other orders and customers go before mine. I asked after a little while and they said mine was the next one, but that wasn’t the case. I guess they messed up the orders or something, which can happen to everybody, but the way they disregarded me was completely unacceptable. Delicious! This was the best Even Stevens I have ever been to. The ambiance of the restaurant was so calm, laid back, and welcoming that even my 5 month old teething baby was calm. Our food came out so fast and was absolutely delicious. I ordered the gluten free melted cheese and it was to die for! Usually gf bread is super dense and dry, but they somehow made the bread taste like fresh homemade bread. The gal who took our order knew what was gluten free and the gm of the restaurant was SO kind and personally told me the procedures they use to ensure there isn’t cross contamination including changing gloves, training the staff, and having the gf bread stored safely. Donesha was amazing! Although my 2 dishes had crispy but cold tater tots and the beer sauce did not have the beer cooked out. She made up for all that lacked! Her attitude for her guest and the environment rules! If I had a business I would hire her! Donesha you rule! Parking stinks fyi! Although I got a spot I could not imagine if this place was busier. They have major tables and sitting areas but not enough parking to suit all. Know it is rather spendy as well, about $16-18 pp. Not sure the value meets as of yet but I will try again. 1st stop after landing on a Sunday afternoon they were out of breakfast burritos stuffed French toast (must be popular). I got the loaded Mac, my husband got a bbq pork sandwich they were both delicious. Friendly staff. Nice and clean. Fast service despite being short staffed.Food: 5/5
I booked Even Stevens for catering of a company lunch. The food was great, delivery was on time and everything in the order was correct. I appreciate how hassle free the whole process was and will be using the Cottonwood Heights team again for future events.
My only complaint about this place is the parking. It is difficult to get in, or find a spot and get out. However, the food is great, with unique options and healthy fresh feel. The vibe is fun but quiet. It is often empty and almost always a place to sit.
I could eat Cottonwood for the first time at Even Stevens. The pot roast sandwich was amazing and had enough spices to hold me. The note was only a kind of Bland and had no taste and was disappointing. I'd stick with the sandwich and skip the papers. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The food and hassle isn't worth the wait. I don't know if the rave reviews came from family and friends but there wasn't anything worth bragging about.
