I'm pleasantly surprised that factory tea bar has kept up its quality of boba and food after being around for so many years.I recall coming here a few times when I was in early college. This place used to be so busy, I usually would get the boba, maybe get to sit for a bit, and dip. This Factory Tea Bar location is definitely a must visit in the SGV for their newly renovated arcade and karaoke rooms. They have Fun House which includes claw machines, ping pong, pool tables, arcade games, and karaoke rooms. I had a lot of fun playing these activities while enjoying their drinks. Parking can be pretty tight in their small parking lot though.Their boba drinks aren't spectacular and are pretty mediocre but they make a nice refresher while hanging out with friends. The service here is horrible. I have no idea what's going on with this one girl but when we had a problem with a drink that's supposed to be a slush but was very melted and tasted like an iced drink. We bought it back to them and this girl rudely handled the situation. She just gave an attitude the whole time we were trying to explain it, and when we asked to remake drink she tossed it hard to the trash for no reason at all. Factory Tea Bar is a boba tea place in SGValley. They have one other location on S. Figueroa st in DTLA. Interior atmosphere was very chill and relaxing. Moreover, it’s very spacious, neat and organized and a small outdoor patio is available. They have wide selection of boba tea and food snacks. Since it’s super bowl Sunday, I ordered their Lychee green tea with lychee jelly and Guava green tea with boba pearl. It was perfectly made to satisfy my palate. This place is a great hangout spot as it is spacious and there are more activities than a typical tea spot.My friends and I enjoy some of their food like popcorn chicken and fries. We did try elote fries once but I wasn't a huge fan. The mayo taste was overwhelming and weirdly sweet (maybe emphasis on the Asian fusion elote). I'd say the drinks especially the teas are not good to me. I make much better tea at home for a fraction of the cost. The service and parking tend to vary. I would still say this is a great hangout spot but I would not order any drinks.
I have good memories here going karaoke with my friends and I made some good memories again trying some of their new drinks.Rock N Roll: This red oolong milk tea was topped with tiramisu foam which had a good level of sweetness. I would call it more of a dessert drink because it was extra creamy but addictingly good.Peach Oolong Tea Cold Brew with Sea Salt Cream: This one comes unsweetened but the fresh peach and boba add a slight hint of sweetness. The sea salt cream is also delicious and it makes me want to try all the other drinks with the same cream.
Nothing like a delicious milk tea and wonderful snack to get you going through your day. @factoryteabar is one of those places that has been the gold standard of boba and all kinds of teas. So you know this is the place where you got to get your tea and snack fix. They’ve also just recently opened up their second location near USC so you gotta check this place out!
