This is my usual stop when I visit Emerald CQ. There are many baked products from assorted breads to assorted pies and pre made sandwiches. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful while there are a few that are probably grumpy by nature but still good enough to help you and have you leave the shop with a smile. Being a small shop with a small set client base, they do not always have what you are looking for. But there are good substitutes if you don't not mind.
This bakery is owned by the same people that own the other Fairbairn Bakery site on Hospital Road. As my review said of the alternate site this organization provides some of the best bread ,pies and pasties and other bakery products in the state in my humble opinion ! This location offers sit down tables and chairs in a nice setting for its customers . The staff service is always good .Chunky Steak pies are amazing !!!!
It had been a while since I'd visited Emerald, and this location was not here the last time. Decided to stop in for lunch and it was so good I came back the next day as well. The plain pies were great and held their weight; nothing worse than a sloppy pie! I tried a lamington as well and it was good.The girls behind the counter were friendly and efficient.Note there is a $10 minimum for EFTPOS transactions.
One of the best bakeries we've found out this way. The range of cakes and slices was amazing. Didn't taste the pies. Really enjoyed our morning tea, and the staff were smiling and friendly. I went in expecting just a standard pie and sausage roll but after the first bite i knew it was going to be a good one. I had the cheese and bacon sausage roll and oh my it was delicious. I would recommend this bakery to any travellers passing through
Amazing place with a unique concept, and great beer and wine The "bartenders" were very friendly and showed us how the card system works (very easy).

Try the pies here, I had a steak and mushroom which was very edible. Scullling temperature Place is clean, staff are friendly.
