The new owners and bar staff at this restaurant are charming, welcoming, and always greet us with a smile. My family and I love coming here regularly to enjoy the warm atmosphere and cozy decor. The food and service have always been fantastic whenever we visit, and we appreciate that the pub is child-friendly, with children welcome until 9pm. The staff even went out of their way to accommodate my picky 8-year-old daughter, which I am incredibly grateful for as this is the only place she will eat a full meal. Met friends there quite a long wait for food midweek with only 3 other families there. I had rump steak medium rare which spoilt it a bit for me but it was a good steak tender . I think it had just been left under the heater for a while as my steak knife was too hot to handle and peas started to dry. Hubby had steak and ale pie which was only £1 less than mine.said it was good Chips were really nice crispy and not greasy. It was plenty for me but for a big eater I think they would be disappointed. Overall I'd go again as we had a nice evening with friends
I have been a regular at this pub and have noticed a decline in the quality of service and entertainment. The owner and staff constantly interrupt and harass customers, even eavesdropping on private conversations. I was recently told that I could no longer drink at the pub because the owner overheard someone commenting on its deteriorating condition. It is concerning that patrons may be asked to leave for simply voicing their opinions in private. Be cautious when visiting this pub, as you may be asked to leave without proper justification.
My experience at the Fairfield Inn restaurant was not very good. It took three bartenders 10 minutes to make our drinks. Three out of our four meals were okay, but when I ordered two steaks medium rare, one came out medium rare and the other well done. I would have asked for a replacement, but it took an hour to receive our meals. The restaurant was not busy, with only about 8 people there. I don't think I will be returning. Father's Day didn't disappoint. Thoroughly enjoyed my Surf &Turf , my wife enjoyed her Sirloin both cooked to perfection. My three boys enjoyed their cheeseburgers and Nachos sharer. Great Desserts too with their specials Lemon Tart, brownies and Rocky Road Sundaes went down a storm !! Get down to the Fairfield soon you won't be disappointed. Offers available on their website. We have family that live in Halesowen and a visit to the Fairfield is a must do every time we are there. The owners are so hospitable and make you feel immediately at home. The service is quick, efficient, and friendly. Could not ask for more from a local establishment.
My second visit to this pub and again had a great experience. Really felt the need to leave another review. Mid week so quiet but staff very friendly. Ordered food that came out quickly, the food was hot and delicious. Could not fault the service food. 5 from me
