Growing up in northern WI, Supper Clubs were the places to go. Moving down to central WI and 40 years later when Supper Clubs are no longer common, finding this gem Fiels is like going home. Coming from a Polish/German household, to step into Fiels is like a blast from the past. The food is absolutely fantastic, everything Fiels has to offer I highly recommend. If you have never had German dishes, don't be leery, at least try it, you will be amazed. Well for starters, who in Wisconsin that owns a bar/restaurant and doesn't know how to make an old fashioned . Even the simple Malibu orange just wasn't doable. I've seen their catering vans and always thought about going there, we'll tonight was it, 1st and last. Our 16 year old waiter was trying but failed, I'll give him credit for trying, drink orders we're messed up to start it all off, unfortunately it didn't get any better, the salad bar wasn't the worst I've ever had but far from what they bragged it up to being, 2 prime rib dinners, 1 ribeye and 1 broasted chicken. I visited Feil's for the Mother’s Day buffet, which was a one-hour drive away, based on a friend's recommendation. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. Every dish on the buffet was excessively salty. The bacon dressing at the salad bar was cold, and the apple sauce cake for dessert was hard. The food presentation left much to be desired, and the vinyl tablecloths, while practical for cleaning, were stained and frayed. Even the old fashioneds we ordered tasted watered down. To make matters worse, we were rushed out of our table after just 45 minutes, despite having made reservations and noticing multiple open tables. The only positive aspect of the experience was our excellent waitress....
I've always wanted to try this restaurant, and a few months ago, we finally went for dinner with another couple. Unfortunately, we weren't greeted in the warm way we expected, and we all felt the service was rather brusque throughout the evening. None of us were rude or drinking alcohol, so it's unclear why the staff seemed unfriendly toward us. We did notice that well-known patrons received quite different treatment. The salad bar was good, and our meal was decent, though nothing exceptional. I hope to give them another chance to see what the hype is about and to maybe receive a warmer welcome.

Feil's Supper Club is an awesome supper club with German focus. They have a beer garden and often have live polka. They have a decent beer menu and the bar tenders make great drinks, especially the ice cream drinks after dinner. Feil's has an awesome salad bar. They have lots of toppings, pasta salads, cottage cheese, cheese dips, liver paste, soups, etc. On our last stop the chicken and stuffed shrimp were great. Our friends got the German buffet. The service is very friendly, we have been here a few times and will be back again.
The restaurant was outstanding with excellent food, service, and drinks. My wife and I visited on a Wednesday night and we nearly had the whole place to ourselves. I was surprised by this because I can't understand why more people wouldn't want to enjoy such a fantastic spot, even during the week. I've seen much worse places that were packed! If people want to enjoy nice establishments, they need to support them. Plus, the salad bar was the best I've ever seen!

This is one of the best salad bars we've ever experienced. We visited for the Friday night fish fry and enjoyed the boiled haddock along with the salad bar and warm German sides.
