After visiting three times in the first few months after its opening, we hadn't returned for a while due to the horrendous service we received on our last visit. However, we decided to give it another try because we consistently found the food to be very good to excellent, and we enjoyed the combination of Japanese and Chinese dishes, as well as the wide variety of dumplings. After we were back three times within a few months after the opening, we haven't been there for a long time when we were there last time, the service was terrible. So we have rejected ourselves, as we have found the good constantly very good, and we liked the mix of Japanese and Chinese food and the great variety of dumplings. We found the food again very good too excellent and during the service better it was just above a minimum acceptable level. The staff who watch the football game instead of circulating around is just a sign of extremely bad training. On a weekend night, our party ordered a bottle of wine but it wasn't delivered until after the appetizers were served. Our table seemed to have no designated waiter, and it took nearly 15 minutes for one of the waiters to return with our credit card. Finally, the music was so loud that it was difficult to have a conversation. This restaurant needs to re-consider its mission. Is it to become a sports-bar serving food to college students or does it aim to serve the needs of this Cleveland Circle neighborhood? I will avoid Feng Shui-Brighton for a while and certainly not return on a weekend.
While the food was decent the service and value were just ok. The prices were too high for the neighborhood- primarily young adults and college students aren't looking for expensive sushi. Sure, no MSG is worth something but not quite as much of an upcharge as we were given. Further, they didn't bring us sauces and forgot a few of our orders (family style) so we had to remind them to bring out our requests. The kinks could be worked out *if* they last but overall I think the restaurant is in the wrong neighborhood.

The food was absolutely delicious but the service was definitely not the best. I think it was likely because of understaffing. Our food took forever to get to us and oddly the only hot food that was ordered at our table was delivered a good 7 minutes before the rest of our cold food (the sushi), so the bringing out of food and lack of timely drink refills, was not ideal. Maybe I’ll give this place another try on a day when I have a lot of patience because the food is really good.
Went there for Father's day and the food was OK. My husband loves general gao and he said it was flavorless which is sad as we chose the place for him. We also ordered creme brulee and it was partially frozen so not happy about that. In general my family didn't have a good impression of the food despite its high cost (gratuity for a table for 7 was already included on the bill). It's a shame because the place ambience and look is nice
The service at this restaurant was excellent, from the host to the bartender and servers. We visited on Christmas and were impressed by their efforts to ensure everyone had a memorable day. The food was also fantastic, with delicious flavors and a wide variety on the menu at an affordable price. We will definitely be returning!
This place is an awesome recent addition to the Cleveland Circle neighborhood. Chinese-American staples, sushi, soup dumplings, and scorpion bowls. Service was fast and friendly, food was awesome, drinks were strong. Couldn't ask for more.
