We were so pleasantly surprised. I give this restaurant/ bar/ breakfast/ lunch/ drop in for a coffee place top marks. I grew up in Bayswater when it was a bleak outer eastern industrial suburb.What amazing changes have occurred and FSG is one of themLet me tell you why:-1. Service was great, right on the ball, but out of sight, laid back and casual but slick and intuitive. Friendly and engaging without being overpowering. Great.2. Food was brilliant. My partner had two of the smaller meals to make one, good way to try a few things. The calamari and pork balls. These were delightful.I tried the popper burger based on other reviews and it was excellent. Really good.3. Wine served was a lovely...
Saw the great reviews and as Friday is local restaurant night thought we would give it a go. Arrived at 6.30pm to an empty restaurant. This is always my canary. Looked at the menu and saw pages of treats. Lots of meat and spice. I ordered The jalapeño burger, partner had smoked pork with boiled egg and kid had boring Aussie burger with a side of onion rings. We rated the burgers 8 and onion rings 9.5. Boss liked the flavour of the pork but found it slightly tough for slow cooked. A few people had come in to enliven the place but why so empty for such nice food? Then we got the bill. Usually we go to a BYO so don't factor wine into the bill. Will go back but drinking water only.
It is nice to have something n Bayswater other than Asian food to choose from, been in 3 or 4 times with staff, clients and family each time it has been very good. The smoothies are excellent as is the food only small criticism is that sometimes if they get a few people in at once there seems to be not enough staff to cater and we waited of menus and drinks but in small business it is hard to get the staff numbers right all the time.
Having heard good things about this place I booked a table via the internet. Received a message stating "'booking unconfirmed". Rang restaurant during lunchtime, no answer, left message detailing booking, message advised I would get a confirmation call. No call. Rang again, same routine, left message again. Having pre booked in person with the owner and advising him that a party of ten would be attending, you would think he would prepare, but alas no, not enough beer as reqired.I there was two eye fillets ordered but alas only one available, then cooked incorrectly. Then the big one, the ladies like sweets but alas not enough, thus departed quite disappointed and without any thought of returning.
This is another hidden gem in Bayswater. Nice ambiance, pleasant staff and sensationally good food.The Caramelized Pork was a delight to eat, as were the Pulled Pork and Chicken burgers and the BBQ lamb chops in a coconut curry.We just had enough room to try 2 deserts between 4.The Chocolate Decadence and the "Mr Pavlova" Panna Cotta were a great way to finish off.Highly recommend a visit.
So great to find this restaurant in Bayswater. The food was awesome, well presented and fresh. The service was really nice and friendly and the cool music was perfect. We shared the yummy crispy chicken wings for entree followed by burgers which were really great served with perfect crunchy chips. Will definitely be back to try other dishes on the menu
What a great little place in the middle of nowhere, Service fantastic, food divine. Had the mixed grill really scrumptious & the Loaded fries to die for. All in all highly recommend this little Rae of sunshine!! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Amazing food! The Jalapeño popper burger is amazing, so are the fries. The wontons on rocket are also delicious. Great home made lemonade. Highly recommended!
