I opted for a takeout box with three items: wilted greens (kale), pomegranate tempeh, and dahl. The box was a small cardboard size similar to what you find at Whole Foods. Everything was delicious, especially the tempeh. There are plenty of gluten-free options, so I look forward to trying more on my next visit. I appreciate their commitment to reducing waste by charging for wooden utensils (I always bring my own set). Parking on the street is convenient if the small lot is full. However, I didn’t notice a restroom since it’s a tiny establishment, so keep that in mind. Additionally, be aware that there are no posted prices. Fire N' Spice is amazing! The foods are delicious! They have all types of meals available from breakfast, lunch, dinner, catering, smoothies and sweets! Their dishes are so unique and flavorful you will want to visit all the time! Plus the staff is so nice and the owner is a sweetheart! She really makes you feel welcome! There are only a couple seats inside so you can either enjoy your food in a crowded space or take it to go! We take our meal to the nearby parks in the area. Overall this place is a MUST try!

Unfortunately, when I arrived for lunch at noon on August 24, 2023, the restaurant was dark and closed, despite the website stating that it was open. This was incredibly disappointing, and I won’t be returning. It would be helpful if you updated the website to indicate when you're closed, so visitors can be alerted in advance. So far the best vegan eatery I've been to. Everything smelled delicious and everything i ate was amazing. I was pleasantly surprised to see they had ice cream and also made vegan milk shakes!Parking: There is a very limited space for parking but I haven't had any problems the few times I had gone.Dietary restrictions: They had gluten free options on top if the vegan options. I don't personally need them but it's great that it's there.
I felt very welcomed at this restaurant. The food was delicious; although one dish was spicier than I usually prefer, I really enjoyed everything and can't wait to come back and bring my family. I also have to mention the coconut cookie—it reminded me of a treat called lababard from St. Lucia, which brought back so many nostalgic memories, but it might be a bit healthier!
Stopped here once as I was traveling as it's right off the highway, and was immediately in love. This food is just the best food I've ever had hands down. I would move to Hartford just to be able to eat this regularly. Whenever I travel to New York, stopping here on the way is by far a highlight of the trip. If you're in the area this is the place to go.
Vegan Jamaican cuisine is something altogether on another level of awesome. The food is shockingly delicious. I've been there several times and several times I've been blown away. I was in the area for work and typically look for vegan restaurants, but I don't come across many options. However, I stumbled upon this place and discovered THE BEST VEGAN PATTIES EVER! I can't wait to come back. As for vegetarian options, they were the best I've ever had!
