Always reliable and consistent, hot, fresh burgers and pommes. This is in the Home Depot space and has a simple parking space. The place is clean and bright, and the bar height tables and chairs through the windows receive tons of late sunshine. Great, cheerful staff and, as usual, no problem for me with ordering gluten-free (velvet closure). I have celiac disease, so for me and my husband is able to order both without problems, always great. Just tell them you have an allergy when ordering, and this is their concern to change gloves and handle separately. The Pommes are the only thing that goes in the frit, so it's a rare place where I can eat the Pommes, and they're just the best steakries...
I loved five guys but over the past year the local shops have raised prices 4 times in 6 months. I believe the same guy owns this shop and amity. Orange is ridiculous $21 for a burger, sm fry, large drink. Service is good but let?s be honest it?s fastfood. This orange location is closed more then it?s open over the last year I?ve gone 13 times and it?s been closed. Not sure ifgoing out of business or just can?t staff as it seems the same people work in Branford, New Haven, and this Orange location.High prices, in consistency, unreliable, and fair service really make Five Guys CT a no go for me. I frequent Branford, Amity,Orange, and Oxford but re-thinking it now.
I'm here to eat burgers and fries. I was very happy with the food at the price that was a good price but not cheap. The burgers were very interesting: thin and grilled/fried on the surface was crispy, but inside was juicy and not dry. Fries were homemade, but pretty good. That's positive. The ambience is super basic: think basic tables made of wood, simple interior, basic chairs, no decoration, etc. This is a place to not have food and food to have a culinary experience in every sense of the word.
As I grabbed a bag and almost left, I quickly realized it was much larger and heavier than what I had ordered. It turned out I had mistakenly taken someone else's order! Thankfully, it included extra napkins and ketchup along with burgers, hot dogs, grilled cheese, and fries. You really can’t go wrong with any of these choices. They don’t offer gluten-free rolls, but they do have a salad option.
The staff was friendly, which I appreciated. Overall, it was a good experience. Thank you!

Your food is anyway good, little burger great taste BUT the team is very friendly and they were very pleasant on my fry inquiry (less done fries) for someone very picky and sure us a great meal because of him!!! Thank you!!!! great decor watching the food made VERY clean restaurant with plenty of space to sit down. I like this location better than branford all the foods that are the same, there is much more space!!
Visited Five guys and got a Mac Cheese with a patty added to it. Personally I feel the flavors could have been a little better but overall it was good. The customer service was excellent and the place was clean. I would recommend it for once in a whilevisit.
The burgers are amazing, the staff is fantastic, and they now offer milkshakes! I highly recommend Five Guys to everyone. And those fries are something special!
Burger was over cooked even for 5guys. When spending over $10 for just the burger should be perfect, hense the 3 star food rating.
