Fong's Kitchen Chinese Kitchen

We eat here regularly and have never been disappointed. As has been mentioned, the decor is a bit dated (who's there to eat the decor?) but the food is delicious.There are several 'Chinese' restaurants in the area but Fong's is the only one where it's possible to get away from the standard fare of sweet 'n sour everything. Their specialties list offers interesting choices - some of which we've not seen on other menus. And, if the owner feels you might not have ordered a 'balanced' meal, she'll offer suggestions.The food is delicious, the service is good and the prices are on a par with 'normal' Chinese outlets. What more could you ask for?We'll keep coming back.

Have been coming to Fong's for years, living local in Palmyra. It's always open and inviting and Kim is the most lovely host who goes out of her way to make sure you have a great night. She works on her own serving tables with her husband in the kitchen and they make a great team. The prices are fantastic for the sizes you receive and the flavours are far from the standard greasy Chinese at other places. The signature dishes on the first page of the menu are the ones to go for, but it's all good! Please go give this place a try and enjoy the great hospitality Kim spoils you with.

Last night we a friend found this resistant online whilst we were visiting the area. The restaurant had good reviews so we ordered take away. I'm usually a big eater and can handle 3 mains in a normal takeaway situation.I orders special fried Rice, combo omelette and lemon chicken. The food was clean, fresh and I would say the best Chinese I've had in a long time. I only managed 1 1\2 dishes before I gave in, the lemon chicken was actually stacked so high they put a lacky band on to try and hold it in. Big thumbs up for this restuarant I would recommend it others.

Took the recommendation from another reviewer to get the Nyonyan chicken and it was different but yummy! Also had sweet and sour pork, beef in oyster sauce and sizzling garlic prawns with a large combination fried rice. Everything was delicious with good portions - happily feed family of four. The Décor is a bit basic. The Menu is comprehensive, cost reasonable, and the service and food are great, sizzling plates are a speciality. Well worth a visit. Its also BYO wine/beer with a bottle shop across the road. Parking at the rear is difficult to find down a narrow alley.

We have been fans of this restaurant for a long while. We lived just up the road so it was convenient and always tastes great. We got to know Mr and Mrs Fong very well. They use to give us extra things when we bought take away. The decor is a bit tired but it is clean.

Needed a quick meal and ordered the Sang Chow Bow (San Choi Bao) and Singapore noodles. Top class and the same price as maccas across the road where we have been a few days earlier. Know where we are going next time.
