Food For Thought is a brilliant chip-shop in Kirkby that offer a very good range of food and is the best chip-shops in Kirkby. This place is directly across the road from the Railway pub and is hard to miss.I don't normally have meals from chip-shops but if I do I always come here. This place is really clean and tidy and they offer well priced meals and drinks and was the last place we visited on a day out. We had been in Liverpool city centre and also in the Railway pub when we decided to go home for the night.It is very rear I visit a chip shop but was in the mood for a bag of chips. After a great day out visiting some of the fantastic pubs in Liverpool my twin brother Stephen and I decided to jump the train down from Liverpool to Kirkby were we enjoyed some delicious pints of guinness in The Railway Pub, getting close to closing time we decided to call it a night and pop across the road and buy a bag of chips each,track and traced,we got a large portion each ,served in no time at all by a very pleasant member of staff ,we luckily caught the bus straight away to whisk us home were we enjoyed our chips which were absolutely delicious, thick cut ,salt and vinegar and great value for money, in my opinion this is the best chippy in Kirkby, its most definitely well worth chec...
Been here quite a few times now ,it's probably one of Kirkby's better chippy's . It's a well appointed chippy,spotlessly clean ,glass fronted serving bar showcases the goodies on offer ,it's a place that offers a big range of meals. Latest visit here was February ,been at Liverpool Beer Festival all day the pubs in Liverpool City Centre ,jumped train down to Kirkby and before ending the night in The Railway Pub we bought a bag of chips each,service quick,price great value for money ,we munched our chips outside the pub which were delicious ,all in all a good visit,the chippy's easy to locate along Glovers Brow .

Went out for some food with my family. I ordered a burger and chips and everything was going well, with lovely waiters in a nice environment. However, my experience was marred when I found a red hair in my food. I asked for a refund or replacement, but the waiter rudely told me to leave if I didn't like it. This incident has made me hesitant to return to the restaurant in the future.
Ordered a delivery, after an hour called them to be told it was with the driver, still hadn't arrived after hour and a half so called them back and was told it was with the driver again so I said OK, after 2 hours I called back only to be told they were only just making it so I told the her to cancel the order, buyer beware.
The food took well over an hour and 20 minutes to arrive, and it was just basic chip shop fare! The salt and pepper were good, but two of them were missing. How can you mess up chip curry and rice? It was as bland as cardboard. If possible, avoid this place and go with your last resort.
Rang up for a delivery Regular customer all I asked was that I get my donner meat inside the pitta. To be told they can't it's too busy. Wow!!! Over priced idiots

I just ordered from Just Eat and the Spanish omelette was flavorless and dry, so I ended up throwing it away. I definitely won't be ordering from there again!
The salt and pepper chicken was lovely from here and the service was good and a great size portion and reasonable price
