My friends, my husband, and I visited this restaurant for the first time this evening. Although it's a small place, the atmosphere is wonderful, and Gabe, our waiter, was an exceptional host. The menu may be limited, but the food was outstanding. I started with the mac and cheese, which everyone at the table ended up trying, and we were all amazed by how delicious and unique it was. Almost everyone ordered the Fort Mac burger, and we all found it to be fantastic. My friend had the Mary’s Little Sister, which was absolutely incredible (I couldn't resist stealing a bite!). I wanted to try something different and was in the mood for pub food. I discovered this restaurant through Google, and I'm so glad I did. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was enjoyable, and the servers were fantastic. One of the servers really recommended the draft options, and I have to admit, I'm grateful he did. I believe the beer was called Pucker Up, and it was superb! I highly recommend this place if you're looking for casual dining with wonderful pub fare. I definitely plan to return to try those Ft Mac Nachos!
It's not often that every dish you and your dining companion order hits the mark, but that's exactly what happened today at Fort Amherst Pub! The Crafty Radler citrus beer was refreshing and tasty, and the buffalo chicken tacos were perfectly sized. My friend’s buffalo cauliflower was so good that I couldn’t resist stealing his leftovers, and he declared the poutine his new favorite. To top it all off, the service was outstanding. I highly recommend this place!
I have enjoyed trying different selections each time I have gone for dinner of lunch. The wine is fabulous!! Loved the Kung Pao Cauliflower, it was done to perfection, and Cauliflower is not one of my favorite vegetables. I really enjoyed the Chicken Burger and the batter that you use, very much yesterday. I will certainly be trying another different menu item the next visit. Service is great, we missed Gabriel serving us yesterday.

So glad we visited here this evening! Gabriel our server was an absolute doll and super knowledgeable . Portions were large and food and drinks were amazing. Had chicken tacos and the house fries...Husband had the duck wings and smoked meat poutine and neither of us could finish everything. Husband says five duck wings up Can't wait to visit again and try some more eats.
I wasn't thrilled with the onion ring appetizer, which was overly greasy, and the Arancini, both of which were also too salty. I made the wrong choice for lunch since there was no cod available that day. However, their fish and chips and cod tacos are usually excellent.
We had a fantastic date at this restaurant! The food was absolutely incredible. The fried chicken was perfect. The service was attentive and excellent.
I absolutely loved the chicken tacos! Everything else we ordered was delicious as well. I’ll definitely be returning!
