We had the best evening at Furtunato- celebrating my boyfriend's birthday. It's gorgeous inside and out- the ambiance there is on point with any fancy restaurant in the poshest large cities in the country. Our service was great-with professional level servers who knew both the wine and food menu. The prices are just right as well. Actually slightly less than I'd expect to pay at a nice restaurant. I had the good fortune to spend 2 months living in Florence, Italy a few years back and this entire experience brought me back to the wonderful memories of long, slow evenings at the table-sharing many aperitivo and savoring each bite. My wife and our favorite couple went to the restaurant tonight and ordered a variety of dishes including Duck Ragu, spaghetti carbonara, pork Milanese, formaggi pizza, salumi, and formaggi. Everything we tried was delicious! The cheese on the formaggi tray was particularly impressive. The Carbonara was a bit rich, but most of us enjoyed it. I highly recommend the Pork Milanese, it was incredibly delicious. The Salumi tray was also amazing. Overall, we had a great dining experience.
The calamari and house bread were delish to start, as well as a very nice Spritz. The duck ragu and gemelli were out of this world resembling almost a short rib in flavor. There are not enough stars for that dish, the calamari and the house bread. Great wine selection and music. We loved our server. Very sweet. I was born and raised in Roanoke but moved away for 30 years. I am used to Denver, Charlotte and St. Pete. This restaurant is top notch and definitely a keeper
First off, get the bread with ricotta then figure out what you want to order because the bread is legitimately amazing. Also get the Brussel Sprouts and dont let the anchovy part scare you. They were so good! The pizza was also very good and honestly the only thing we got that wasn 't bomb was the fingerling potatoes. They were fine but I wouldn 't recommend. Many gluten free options available. Food was phenomenal; defintiely try the olives and duck raguv???? They also had a great selection of wine and cocktails; it's the first restaurant I have been to that served orange style wines (pictured). Service was amazing, the staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about wine. We cannot wait to go back.
I can't quite express how similar the food tasted to Applebee's. The noodles were so chewy, it was like blowing bubbles. The portion of sauce was overwhelming, definitely not worth recommending unless someone else is treating. I ended up giving the leftovers to a homeless person outside. Leftovers pictured.
The atmosphere and design of the restaurant were very cool. Our server was extremely friendly and helpful in choosing a wine. The food was delicious, especially the lamb meatballs which I highly recommend. To finish off the meal, the latte was delicious. This place is definitely worth a visit!

Great ambiance, we got the branzino and a side of potato wedges cooked in duck fat. The food was great, our server was friendly and the place had a nice rustic vibe to it. Great for a dinner date!
