The tofu had a smooth and tender texture, but the flavor was quite average. The fried dough sticks were golden and crispy, yet lacked the delightful fried aroma that you'd typically find in China, which was disappointing. The soy milk just had a strong bean taste and no fragrance, leaving one feeling underwhelmed after drinking it. It was simply too plain. As for the pancakes and fruit, they were unremarkable and coated in grease, lacking any distinctive flavor. While the establishment has its charm and memorable aspects, the food was a major letdown. I wouldn't recommend it to friends looking for an authentic experience or hoping to enjoy a true improvement to their palate.

It reminded me of a no-frills breakfast spot in Northern China. The food wasn’t extraordinary, but it was reliably good, reasonably priced for today’s standards, and generous in portions. It’s tough to find a genuine Tianjinese restaurant in LA, so this place is essential for anyone nostalgic for or curious about Tianjin breakfast dishes. The thick 油条 (fried dough sticks) and well-seasoned 豆腐脑 (tofu pudding) were highlights. The service is straightforward, typical of Chinese dining, and can be a bit brusque, but at least this place won’t overcharge you like some other spots, such as KangKang Food Court.

I’m thrilled! I’m so glad I overlooked the rating and decided to try it for myself. It’s hard to find a true northern breakfast spot, but this one delivers. The flavors, menu options, and hours (they open at 7 AM!) all reflect an authentic northern Chinese breakfast experience. The menu clearly indicates the audience this restaurant is targeting. If you're looking to enjoy a taste of home right here in LA, this is the place to go!

This either proves that Google reviews of SGV Chinese restaurants are not dependable, or demonstrates that the standard is much higher in this area. Easily 5 star flavors among Chinese restaurants in this country, with many Chinese people saying this would be considered very decent even in China. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

The service was really bad. I couldn't get enough to eat. A group of people walked in and chatted about their own affairs. No one gave me a menu. They didn't tell me how long they should wait. There was no sugar in the soy milk.
