My husband works in Alpharetta and always walks around for lunch. He had seen this restaurant and wanted to try it (it was only open for dinner). We finally had an opportunity after work one Friday. The service was top shelf the entire time. The perfect balance of kind and professional, as well as attentive but not overbearing. Our waiter Justin was very knowledgeable, easy-going and helpful. Every bite of food was exquisite. We had the charcuterie board appetizer, Athletic Haze IPA (non alcoholic) and a glass of Chardonnay. 2024 update: FSE moved away from east Roswell, which was lacking in upscale alternatives, to downtown Alpharetta apparently in search of an even wealthier clientele. Their online menu pretentiously now has no pricing posted, i.e. don't bother coming if you don't have big bucks to spend. Have no idea how the food is anymore or whether the ownership is even the same as when the restaurant blew my socks off all those years ago. They served me the cheapest steak I ever had for $40 and overcooked it too. Only one salad choice on their menu the Caesar had sardines in it and was just larges pieces of uncut lettuce The waitress was very nice but made us wait for everything, and no eye contact while she walked around, she was all over the place, at times I don’t know if she was ignoring me, she must have seen me in her peripheral vision as I was raising my hand to get her attention. The atmosphere is nice but I would have been better off cooking at home with a movie
Chef Mel changes up his menu regularly and it’s spectacular , we eat there regularly and tonight was no exception, unlike most restaurants in Alpharetta and Roswell that serve pretty much the same fare month after month this guy knows his produce and gives you a pleasant surprise every time we visit. Highly recommended.
Greta atmosphere. Laid back and not too crowded. The food was really good. Not the best I've ever had, but we'll worth the price. I really liked the combination of flavors the chef combined on things like the appetizers. I highly suggest going for at least one appetizer with your meal to really try the chefs flavors

Great outdoor patio area in the heart of downtown Alpharetta. Good menu service. Will become a regular lunch spot for us.
