It breaks my heart to provide this feedback as I love this pub. Last night was not the best TBH. I ordered chicken tacos and it wasnt served til after 45mins. I also specifically asked to put the chili on the side as i cant eat spicy food. When tacos arrived, they had chillies on all them. I had to give it to my friends and they loved it. I did not get any apology or atleast acknowledging the mistake although i brought it up to their attention. They said that the other food that was ordered with the tacos takes longer to cook. It was a Cod. It was a fish. The fish would have been charcoal if it takes 45mins to pan fry/ sear. Anyway, that is all.
As always, a great local with consistently excellent quality pub grub! We had blue-eyed cod, fish and chips, rump steak, veal milanese, lamb skewers with house slaw and truffle parmesan fries. Every dish was well presented, fresh, and delicious. They've just introduced a new menu, and we even had the chef come out to check if we were happy with our food. Good supervision of staff both behind the bar and within the restaurant. We would highly recommend this place for a meal but make sure you book as it does get quite busy.
Great food, great atmosphere, fabulous service! We had a range of share plates between four people and each dish was exceptional. We asked that the service be spread out, so that not everything arrived at once, and unlike many other places we got exactly what we asked for. All served by friendly wait staff. I'll definitely go back.
This local gem never disappoints. We love the food, ambiance and service. The vibe is great. They have safe Covid practices in place, which is very reassuring. it's a great reliable local place in a charming area. We love the personalised service and attention. very average vegan options I ordered the auberginenparmigiana without cheese, provided it would have at least the sose on it. and it was just a little bad boiled aubergine with nothing on it. so boring and a scandal that the chef could not be disturbed to become kreatiw. felt as if I was punished for the order,
real alcohol! great menu quality! guinness on tap and lots of sport to watch. friendly staff who know how to make a **** mary! 1 was missing, was football (soccer) from the screens
The mussels were absolutely fantastic. Very friendly staff. Good Covid practices as well. Overall great evening. Highly recommended for a great local pub
