We drove through Riviere du Loup and stopped at the information center on the highway to ask for a good restaurant in the city. They recommended Frais Delices, so we decided to give it a try. However, our experience turned out to be quite disappointing. Despite limited time on our way to PEI, we ordered hot dogs and chicken club sandwiches. The wait for our simple meals was almost 40 minutes! My club sandwich had burnt toast and rubbery chicken that was clearly not fresh. My husband ordered the coal-fired trout and I ordered a hamburger trio garnished. Unfortunately, my burger was mistaken for a cheeseburger, and the fries were soggy. The burgers had a sweet relish topping that we didn't enjoy, and they seemed to have been reheated on a regular grill instead of cooked fresh. Overall, we were disappointed with the food and wouldn't return to this restaurant.

The restaurant does not adhere to the hours listed on Trip Advisor. Instead of opening at 9:30 a.m. as indicated, it actually opens at 10:30 a.m. This was disappointing, especially considering how nice the restaurant looks from the outside.
One regret - I did not take any pictures of the delicious food

Came here on a Tuesday evening (closed on Mondays!) around 8 and was greeted with a packed house.
I was devastated when I finally had the chance to go to Escondite, it was nothing to rave about.
