This is by far the best Italian restaurant on Long Island. the food is very fresh and high quality. The service spot on too. Victor (owners son) runs the place mostly and is doing all the cooking himself. Pete the bartender and the entire wait staff are all friendly and very helpful. The 1st picture is lobster seafood salid for takeout for Thanksgiving dinner. The wine room has regular dinner seating and also can be reserved for private parties. There also is valet parking. They also have an elaborate Italian wine list stored in their masive wine cellar. Ask for the Zucchini flowers for an appetizer it's a definite must try. But no matter what you order you will not be disappointed.
We dined there for the first time last night. My husband and I ordered the gamberoni oreganata, while my daughter had the rabbit cacciatore, which she said was delicious, and we were pleased too. However, by the time I reached my third shrimp, it was completely mushy. I was quite surprised and wondered how this could have happened since everything is made to order. The real disappointment came when I brought this to the attention of the staff and was told that the chef was saddened by the issue but that nothing would be done about it. A dessert, even something small for us all to share, would have been a nice gesture to make up for the mishap.

Be sure to try the zucchini flowers as an appetizer; they are an absolute must! No matter what you choose from the menu, you won't be disappointed.
The food is kind of good, but we went there for a birthday party and brought a cake, they charged $5 a person just to cut a cake into 8 pieces $40), even though we did order couple of deserts and cofee anyway. And we were told that the whiskey that we ordered was $18 a shot, but charged $27. This is very wrong, hence the 3 star review.

We had a wonderful culinary experience at Franina, celebrating my son's engagement. The restaurant is beautiful, the service was impeccable, and the food was absolutely delicious! If you're looking for a special place to truly appreciate fine dining, Franina is the perfect choice!
I decided to grab a bite to eat at a restaurant next to my hotel and was pleasantly surprised to discover a white linen establishment in a strip mall. The wine, food, and service were all excellent. I would definitely recommend it, but it's not inexpensive.
We celebrated a 75th birthday here and had a fantastic time. The food was excellent, and the service was outstanding—very attentive and top-notch. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. It is a bit pricey, but that adds to the special occasion.
I walked over from the hotel next door for a bite to eat. Was very surprised to find a white linen restaurant in a strip mall. Excellent wine, food and service. Would recommend, but its not cheap.
