Prices at Franklins have risen quite a bit recently, which is understandable, but I was surprised by the noticeable reduction in portion sizes. For example, the fish and chips (see photo below) featured only about 4 ounces of fish, with most of it being batter. The burger I ordered tasted good, but the bun fell apart as soon as I touched it, and there were no condiments available on the table or plate. Our server was friendly, but this visit felt like an overpriced experience similar to Applebee's. We might return in the future, but given the current economic situation, I can’t justify spending $60 on a meal like this.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Franklins. The "Quarantiki" area was lovely, and the kids had a fantastic time there. There was sand spread out all over the ground, which allowed the children to play while we waited for our food. The area was clean and well-maintained. Although all the tables were occupied, if you arrive early, you can secure a nice shaded spot. We ordered two appetizers; the crab dip was delicious and packed with flavor, while the spinach dip was just mediocre—I wouldn't order it again as the spinach pieces were too large and not very appealing.
A true gem for the locals, this restaurant offers fantastic food, a lovely ambiance, and great drinks. The fried chicken sandwich is delightfully succulent, and the beer brewed on-site complements the rhythmic sound of commuter trains passing by. The owner, a local, genuinely cares about the community and doesn’t hold back on the crab in the crab dip, a clear indication of their authenticity as a Maryland establishment. If you're curious about what Cracker Barrel aspires its general store to be, visit on a busy night and enjoy the experience.
I dined at Franklins with a friend last week, and overall, it was a wonderful experience. The food was excellent—we came especially for the spinach dip, and it did not disappoint. For my main course, I had the quinoa and spinach bowl, which was fantastic and memorable. However, the service left something to be desired; our server was only around a few times during the meal and seemed somewhat disengaged. While I understand that, it did slightly affect our overall experience.

We have been going to Franklins for 20+ years, and it is still a really great experience! Recently we went because we saw their NEW outdoor area under the bridge. It is great to be outside!!! See my pics of the plantings around the seating area ? so well done! I ordered the muscles, which are an old standby, but they changed the recipe. PLEASE GO BACK TO THE OLD RECIPE!!! Still the best food at the best prices and service around!
The food and beer are consistently excellent. As for parking, it is available for a fee of just $0.50 per hour. I dined in for lunch, and the price per person was between $10 and $20. I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all at 5 out of 5. There is plenty of parking available, with paid parking lot options.
I can't believe it took me so long to visit Franklin's! The beer selection is fantastic, the food portions are generous, and there's something for everyone on the menu. The pizza was delicious, and the lamb sliders are incredible—honestly, they could be a meal on their own. Great job, Franklin's!
I thoroughly enjoy visiting this restaurant; the food and drinks are absolutely delicious. The staff is very friendly and professional. If you ever come here, be sure to try their burgers—they're fantastic! And the pizza? Oh my goodness, it tastes just perfect!

The food was pretty good...I wish that the cocktail menu was a bit more extensive. We had a soft pretzel, crab dip, cocktails, and bread pudding for dessert.
