NOTE: This review is from my experience at Frannie's concession stand at the Taste of Chicago on 09/07/2024. I had the lemonade Italian ice. 5/5. It was delicious. Slightly too sweet, but I loved the interesting silky texture as it melted on my tongue. And lemonade is my favorite drink, so I was very happy to see they had it on the menu in Italian ice form. I wish they made the serving a little bigger. I was not offered/suggested other sizes, so if they were available, I was not made aware. Staff was friendly and the stand stood out and had good marketing. I will need to visit a location to try the street food. I will do a follow up review.
Up some steps (lower level is their catering kitchen, maybe? to a small (5 tables a couple more on the narrow deck outside joint with an air conditioner that can't quite handle a hot summer day. But you don't come for a luxury place; you come for the food: a *generous* Italian Beef sandwich, more fries than you want to eat, and a large drink, all for just under $10. (Similar or lower price for Italian sausage, chicken, etc. . What's not to like? It's worth the visit--hot weather and all.
If you are in Schiller Park you must stop by here for an Italian beef and fries. Among plenty of other delicious options. Italian Steak sandwich. I have been stopping by here since High School when Franny was alive. Their mother/ grandmother. Her family took over and she must still be smiling proud how they kept the original delicious flavors. Great food. See you guys again of course.
It's nice to have trusted the reviews and ordered from here. I had dipped an Italian beef combo with hot peppers and one side of cheese. Absolutely amazing and the Pommes are no words! In any case, there will be plenty of food here!
Great food and service…..our family has been enjoying Frannie’s since they opened. We had the pleasure of seeing the Nonna(grandmother) stir the pot of gravy. I’ve had them ship food to my relatives in Arizona.

good food at reasonable price. get the steak italian with 3 layer fries.
