The last of the great caffs. I've known this place for over a decade and recently have been eating here every week. Franx is that rare gem of old school cafés with a huge menu of hot and cold food at a fair price. The quality is decent, the service speedy and efficient, but what most people don't know is that it's so much more than a greasy spoon! I go here twice a week and mostly eat their brilliant salad boxes. Tell me where in London you can sit down for a whole plate of salad and Chicken for under a tenner? They also do brilliant paninis and of course a decent fry up. Long may it continue!
I went to this restaurant for breakfast, but I have also been here for lunch before. I really enjoy it. It has a charmingly old-fashioned atmosphere (meant as a compliment) and I would choose it over a chain restaurant any day. I ordered a sausage sandwich and a cup of tea, and both were absolutely perfect.
This is a classic English diner with a sense of humor in its decor and staff. The breakfast options are delicious and filling, with reasonable prices for Covent Garden. It's the perfect way to kick off your day!

AVOID ! HAIR FOUND TWICE IN SEVERAL VISITS. WHEN I INFORMED THE COOK AND HE WAS VERY RUDE AND SAID, I SHOULD HAVE NOT COME BACK AFTER THE FIRST TIME.
