Our experience at this "steak" restaurant was terrible. We were recommended by our hotel and walked into what appeared to be an old house. The soda we ordered seemed to be out of a can, and both appetizers came with canned cheese, which was unappetizing. We decided to cancel our order and leave, expecting an apology and the opportunity to quietly exit. Instead, the manager charged us for a minimal amount of food and drinks, including tortilla chips with cheese whiz and frozen cauliflower, totaling over $22. I stopped in on Halloween night for dinner with a friend while visiting from out of town. I enjoy discovering and dining at local establishments. I tried the French onion soup and spinach salad as appetizers. For my main course, I chose the garlic glazed pork chops with tomatoes, which were incredibly flavorful. I finished off with a slice of butterscotch pie. The food was fresh and the service was excellent. I was not disappointed. It's a great place to dine while in St. Jo.
The restaurant is just as excellent as always. It has been a while since my last visit, but the food is just as delicious as I recall. Although I find it a bit pricey, the staff is fantastic and the dining experience is top-notch. Is a $70 meal for two really worth it? It's a bit on the expensive side, but if you're willing to splurge, go for it!
We didn't have a reservation but they managed to accommodate us. The steak meals were fantastic, the service was excellent. We will definitely return!
